There are several exploits both old and new inThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, and players have found a way to getunlimited carry weightso they never have to drop items on their travels again. This glitch can be performed on all platforms as well, so console and PC players alike can free themselves from the stress of carrying capacity inOblivion Remastered.
Carrying capacity is a staple of Bethesda RPGs likeSkyrimorStarfield, but not every player wants to have their inventory space limited. There are ways to increase the maximum weight that a character can carry inOblivion Remastered.Still, theunlimited carrying capacity glitch bypasses those methods entirely, allowing players to carry thousands of pounds of loot from dungeons without becoming overencumbered.TheOblivion Remasteredcarrying capacity glitch is quite easy to pull off,and this guide will show you exactly how to do it.
How to Perform the Unlimited Carrying Weight Glitch in Oblivion Remastered
The unlimited carrying capacity glitch inOblivion Remasteredis nearly identical to the duplication glitch that many players have been taking advantage of, but with a few minor alterations. Firstly, this glitch requires players to have a piece ofSack Cloth Armor. All characters start the game in a full Sack Cloth outfit, but most players discard their prison attire as soon as they get new armor. Not to worry, though, since more sack clothing can be found as random loot in the crates throughout theImperial City Market District. Getting thrown in jail will also add a new set of Sack Cloth garments to a player’s inventory.
The first step in this exploit is toperform the duplication glitchto create a massive stack of arrows. From there, players should open a container and press “Search” to open their inventory next to the container. From there, the next step is to find the stack ofduplicated arrowsanddrag them overto the container. Console players should pressR1/RB and X/Awhile hovering over the arrows for the same effect.
At this point, the player shouldpress the Enter key or X/A oncewhen prompted with “How Many.” The duplication glitch normally requires players to confirm twice, but the carry capacity glitchonly requires players toconfirm once. If done correctly, the arrows should not be visible in the container. The final step is to find the sack clothing in the player’s inventory and then transfer it to the container.
This will deposit a gigantic stack of sack clothing into the container and change the player’s current carrying weight to a negative number, effectively increasing a character’s total carrying capacity. If the glitch doesn’t work, then some players have reported thatequipping and unequipping the sack clothingcan fix the issue. ThisElder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remasteredglitchcan be repeated as well, so players can increase their carrying capacity as much as they want.
