“Have It Your Way” is part ofIron Mike’s camp arcand reflects the aftermath of Boozer’s brutal encounter with the Rippers, a cult-like gang that worships the Freakers. With Boozer physically and emotionally scarred, the camp doctor, Addy, recommends an unusual remedy to lift his spirits: a dog. The Rippers had been hoarding healthy dogs in their hideouts, and word gets around that there’s still one left that can be rescued.
The game places a general marker on the map, guiding players toward where the dog was last seen. However, this mission doesn’t hand-hold. Players must explore and piece together clues to find the pup, which can be easy to overlook amid the dangers lurking nearby.
To start, ride to the mission marker near a remote log cabin. Park the bike a short distance away, several Freakers are prowling the area, and the engine’s sound can draw their attention quickly. Stealth is best here, unless players areloaded on ammo and explosives. Equip a Crossbow or a silenced pistol, and quietly eliminate the threats.
Melee combat is another reliable method, especially if trying to conserve ammo.
Where to Find the Healthy Dog in Days Gone Remastered
The key landmark is the log cabin, identifiable by a broken-down red and blue car parked out front. Behind the cabin, to the east, lies a small shed near a fenced-in playground. As players approach, they’ll likely hear a dog’s frantic whining. One Freaker will be clawing at the shed door, trying to get in.Take it down quicklyand clear out any others nearby.
Once the area is secure, walk up to the shed and look for the interaction prompt that appears a few feet from the door. Triggering it will initiate a short cutscene where Deacon opens the shed and comes face to face with an adorable, frightened puppy. Players can enjoy this rare moment of softness in an otherwise grim world.

Best of all, players don’t need to worry about trekking back through the dangers of the Oregon wilderness. After the cutscene, the game automatically fast-travels Deacon and the pup back to camp, where Boozer’s heartfelt reaction to his new companion adds a warm, emotional payoff to the mission.
