The Spies quest is a main mission inOblivion Remastered, where you must locate and eliminate two Mythic Dawn agents in Bruma. Concerned for the heir’s safety, you take on the task of tracking down suspicious individuals and stopping them before they can carry out any plans.

Main Quest

How to Find Jearl

After speaking with Jauffre and a few guards, you learn that Jearl, the main suspect,can be found near the runestone. The location will appear onOblivion Remastered’s mapas a waypoint. However, Jearl only shows up at dusk, so you’ll need to wait until 6 PM.

As soon as the sun sets, head to the runestone, a Stonehenge-like area just outside Cloud Ruler Temple. You’ll encounter a suspicious character there, and she will attack you on sight.

Eliminate Jearl and loot her belongings. Be sure to collect two key items: Jearl’s Key and the Basement Key. Then, return to the temple to report the incident to Captain Burd.

An alternative way to encounter Jearl is byattempting to lockpick her house door. This may cause her to spawn and attack you. If that happens, defeat her, take the keys, and continue with the quest.

How to Report to Captain Burd

After eliminating Jearl, the first spy, speak with Captain Burd and inform him that one of his soldiers was a mole. Simply select the dialogue option that mentions “Spies.”

Captain Burd will provide you with a search warrant for Jearl’s house. With this warrant, you can head to the deceased spy’s residence in Bruma andsearch for more evidence of her involvement with the Mythic Dawn.

Jearl’s house is located nearBruma East Gate, to the right of Cloud Ruler Temple’s entrance. If you’re unsure of the location, use the Clairvoyance spell for visual guidance.

How to Reveal the Enemy’s Plans

After entering Jearl’s house, use the other key to access her basement. Look for a small bulkhead door on the ground behind the dining table.

In the basement, grab the letter on the desk titled “Jearl’s Orders.” Reading it reveals the second spy’s name, Saveri, though it won’t provide her location.

Return to Jauffre and turn in the enemy’s plans. He will ask you to find and eliminate the second mole, which is the most challenging part ofOblivion Remastered’s Spies quest.

How to Find the Second Spy

The quickest way to find Saveri Faram, the second spy, is bysearching Jearl’s house between 5 AM and 6 AM. During this time, Saveri may spawn inside the house. You should attack her immediately, no matter where you encounter her.

If this doesn’t work, speak with the beggarJorck the Outcastand ask him about a stranger in town. He can be found to the left of Jearl’s house, next to Arnora’s residence. Jorck may claim to have no memory of such a person, but you’re able to bribe him with five coins to get the information.
