After buying the Agency property inGTA Online,you’ll get the opportunity to meet with Dr. Dre in the game. However, you won’t get to just chill out and relax with the legendary rapper, as his unreleased music demos have been stolen. It’s now up to you to recover these tracks and return them to Dre.
This won’t be as simple as just waltzing up to someone’s door and demanding these demos back. Finding the leaked music will require a whole lot of violence, explosions, and driving around Los Santos. It’s a worthwhile adventure since the reward is a big wad ofGTAcash.
How To Start Dr. Dre’s VIP Contract In GTA Online
Before you get to meet Dr. Dre, you need topurchase an Agency. This is done by bringing up your in-game cell phone, opening the Internet app, navigating to the Money And Services tab, and going to the Dynasty 8 Executive website. You’ll then need to choose one of theavailable Agency propertiesin Los Santos. Buy one and you’ll begin the process of starting up this new business venture.
You’ll meet up with Franklin, Lamar, and a computer hacker named Imani. After your Agency is set up, you’ll need to complete oneSecurity Contractbefore you may begin Dr. Dre’s VIP Contract. Once that’s done, you’ll need to finish two missions before you can find Dr. Dre’s stolen music.
On Course
Franklin will eventually contact you and send you to the Los Santos Golf Club. You’ll meet up with Dr. Dre, record executive Jimmy Iovine, and West Coast Classic radio host DJ Pooh on the golf course. Dre will explain that his phone was stolen, which contained unreleased demo tracks. While playing, Dre will anger some members of the country club who threaten to ban him from the course. They’ll take off in golf carts, and it’s up to you tochase after them and ram them with your own cart.
Once you’ve damaged their carts enough, you’ll have to tail one of the carts to the Del Perro Pier. The golfer will fail to get away, allowing you to catch him and beat them with a golf club. That’s enough to convince him not to have Dr. Dre banned from the golf course. You’ll get a phone call from Franklin sometime afterward. Return to the Agency to take the next step.
Most of these missions will involve a lot of shooting and being shot at. Be sure to always be stocked with ammo, armor, and snacks to heal yourself. You canrefill your snacks for free in the reception area of your Agency.
Data Recovery
After a long cutscene, you’ll need toaccess your PC within your officein the Agency. This is where you’ll start the setup missionData Recovery.Fly a helicopter to the roof of the FIB building and break in. This will set off the building’s alarms and give you a four-star wanted level.
Find the communications room and plug in Imani’s thumb drive. Eventually, the police will respond to the alarm. Mow them down until the software on the thumb drive is done downloading. Retrieve the drive, then fight your way out of the building and back to your helicopter on the roof. Fly away, lose your wanted level, and return back to the agency. Sometime later, you’ll get a phone call from Franklin and Imani, who’ll tell you that there arethree copies of the musictaken from Dr.Dre’s phone.
These three copies make up the three parts of The Data Leaks Contract: the Nightlife Leak, the High Society Leak, and the South Central Leak. These missions can be accessed from your office computer inside the Agency. Each part of The Data Leaks Contract is made up of three separate missions, which consist oftwo setup missions and a finale.After these parts are finished, you’ll be able to tackle the final missions of the VIP Contract.
How To Complete The Nightlife Leak In GTA Online
The Nightclub
The first part of The Nightlife Leak requires you to drive to a nightclub owned by the Triads. Once you reach the destination and enter the club, your objective is torecover a security tapefrom the main office upstairs. The way to the office from the loading bay will be blocked off, so you’ll have to fight your way through the club up to the office. The tape will be inside a drive next to an old CRT on the desk. Retrieve it and then exit the club by following the minimap.
Once you’re outside, more enemies will arrive. Fend them off and drive back to the Agency with the tape to complete this step.
Some of these missions will give you the option to be stealthy, but it’s usually not worth the effort. It’s faster to just shoot your way to the objective.
The Marina
Follow the minimap to the Puerta Del Sol Marina. You’ll need to find agreen speedboatthat will have GPS information leading to the music leaker. This will send you to a yacht located offshore from the mainland. Board it and take out the armed guards on board.
You need to get inside the main cabin on the lower level of the yacht, but the entrance will be locked.Get up to the bridge, and you’ll be able toaccess the door controls from the panelinside. You can also turn off the air defenses on the other side of the bridge panel, which will allow you to use the helicopter onboard to escape the yacht later.
Now go back down to the cabin’s doors and head inside. You need totake a picture of the venuewhere the person with Dre’s music is planning on holding a listening party. It will be in a random location inside the main cabin, so look for it in the bedrooms or the bar area. Once you find it, take out your phone, use the camera app to snap a picture of it, and send it to Imani. Leave the yacht and head back to dry land to end this mission.
Nightlife Leak
Travel to the Diamond Casino and enter through the garage. Take the elevator up and head to the penthouse as marked on your minimap. There will be a party going on inside, and the music thief will be an annoying rich kid who will be DJing at theback of the penthouse.As you try tosteal his music equipment, he’ll break a bottle over your head, and armed guards will attack you. Shoot your way out of the penthouse and back to the elevator that will be marked with a green dot on the minimap.
Take the elevator down to The Music Locker nightclub. There will be more enemies for you to blast away. Head down to the VIP area where you’ll find the thief cowering. Either shoot or spare him, and thentake his backpack.Exit The Music Locker, avoid the various mercenaries coming to get you, and return to the agency to complete this part of The Data Leaks Contract.
How To Complete The High Society Leak
The Country Club
Head on over to the Pacific Bluffs Country Club. You’ll need toenter the surveillance room, which will have cameras set up outside that you may avoid in order not to set off the guards inside. You’ll have tohack a keypad next to the entrance.This will be the minigame where you’ll need to find a sequence of numbers within a whole mess of other numbers. Once you’re in, take out the guards andhack one of the security terminals.This will be another minigame where you’ll have to stop letters to spell out a password.
You’ll then be sent to thelast known coordinates of a limo, which will be marked on the minimap with a large yellow circle. Once you find the limo, you’ll have to follow it until it reaches its destination and take a picture of where it enters with your phone. Alternatively, you can kill the limo driver and take their wallet back to the Agency.
Guest List
This mission will send you to a fancy mansion at Lake Vinewood. Enter the area and take out all the armed guards.Franklin will send you a text with an image of the lawyeryou’ve been sent to abduct. Find them anduse the stun gunyou’ve been given for this job to incapacitate them. You’ll then pick them up and put them in the trunk of a car. Drive this car back to the Agency while dodging the enemies coming after you to finish this mission.
High Society Leak
You’ll now be able to access the home of the billionaire who has a copy of Dr. Dre’s music. He’ll be throwing a big outdoor party where the music is playing. Find the DJ, and you’ll be informed that the billionaire is streaming the music from somewhere else. Franklin will then tell you to cause chaos byshooting guards or blowing up the expensive carsparked at the party. This will fill up an intimidation meter. Once that’s full, the billionaire will try to escape in their helicopter. Grab a vehicle and chase after them.
The lawyer’s car will be equipped with a car bomb that you may set off with your phone to cause more destruction
You’ll need toshoot the helicopterand damage it. If you fully deplete its health bar, it’ll crash, and you’re able to retrieve a copy of Dre’s phone from the billionaire’s body. If you fail to make the helicopter crash, it will land on a yacht just off the shore. You’ll need to reach the yacht and kill the guards and the billionaire onboard to get the phone. Either way, return to the Agency with the retrieved phone.
How To Complete The South Central Leak
Davis
Franklin will send you to find someone namedVernonwho can help you find the final copy of Dr. Dre’s music. Once you reach him, you’ll need to get into his SUV and drive him to a drug deal. You’ll then help him interrupt the deal bytaking out all the dealers and stealing a vanwith meth equipment inside. Escape from the Lost MC gang members, who will come after you as well as the police. When you’ve gotten rid of the bikers and cops, drive the van to the drop-off point as marked on the minimap.
The Ballas
Drive to Vernon and get into his SUV again. Head to the location on the minimap where a shootout between Vernon’s people and The Ballas is going down.Shoot as many Ballasas possible until the police arrive. Vernon will then chase after a Ballas gang member named P, sofollow him down the alley.He’ll be marked on the minimap as a blue dot.
You’ll eventually find splatters of blood on the ground, which will lead to a garage.Follow Vernon into the garagewhere he’ll have P held at gunpoint. Listen to the conversation and then leave the area.
South Central Leak
It turns out that a member of the Vagos gang has Dr. Dre’s music. Drive to the location on the minimap where Vernon and P are waiting for you. Then you’ll drive as a convoy to the spot where the Vagos are blasting the stolen music from a yellow lowrider.Shoot all the Vagosin the area until the owner of the lowrider tries to drive off with the music.Kill the driver and take the lowrider back to the Agencyto complete this part of the VIP Contract.
How To Finish The Finale Of The Data Leaks Contract In GTA Online
There are two missions to complete before the Data Leaks Contract is finished. There will be an introductory cutscene before you can do them, where you’ll learn that the man behind the demo leaks is someone named Johnny Guns. These missions can be accessed via ayellow circle inside the Agencynext to Franklin’s office.
Studio Time
You’ll be instructed to drive Dr. Dre’s car back to his studio. When you arrive, Johnny Guns' men will be outside shooting at police officers. Wipe them out and enter the studio. Kill all the enemies inside and enter the control room. At this point, a very long cutscene will play where you’ll get to hang out while Dr. Dre raps. That’s the whole mission.
Don’t Fuck With Dre
The finale of the Data Leaks Contract will have you hunt down Johnny Guns. You’ll be sent to his last known location, which is marked on the map as a question mark. There will be ayellow, rectangular areaon the map that you’ll need to explore to find Guns. He’ll be close to thenearby train tracks.When you find him, he’ll drive off and send his men after you. You’ll be placed inside a train car, and you’ll have to eliminate all the enemies in the area, as well as the ones who will arrive in SUVs.
Once the coast is clear, you’ll have todrive to the Los Santos International Airport, where Guns is attempting to fly away. Reach the destination andenter the hangar.There will be more enemies, so blast them all.Johnny Guns will be standing atop a platform.The game will tell you to injure him, but not kill him. However, you can still shoot him like you normally would, and then go up the stairs to grab him. A cutscene will then play of you dragging Johnny Guns outside to Dr. Dre.
You’ll then drive Dre to the Pacific Bluffs Country Club while his new music plays in the car. Reach the club, drop off Dre, and you’ll complete the Data Leaks Contract for a rather lucrative payday.
