The magic system inThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remasteredallows players to apply all sorts of effects to themselves, including invisibility from theChameleoneffect. There are a few ways to apply the Chameleon effect to a character inOblivion Remastered, and reaching a full 100% Chameleon effect will render a character completely invisible to NPCs and enemies. This is a great way to steal things, complete quests, and ignore combat encounters altogether, so it’s very hard to maintain 100% Chameleon as a result.

That doesn’t mean it’s impossible to get 100% Chameleon inOblivion Remastered, though, as players have already figured out multiple ways to become completely invisible to the citizens of Cyrodiil. Whether it’s viapotions, enchantments, ormagical spells, there are quite a few ways to apply Chameleon to a character inOblivion Remastered.

How to Get 100% Chameleon Enchantments in Oblivion Remastered

The easiest and most reliable way to attain 100% Chameleon inOblivion Remasteredis via enchanted armor. Enchantingfive pieces of armorwithfilled Grand Soul Gemswill imbue each piece with 20% Chameleon, adding up to a 100% total that renders the player completely invisible as long as the enchantments remain active.

This requires access to the Arcane University’s enchantment tables, however, so only accomplished members of the Mages Guild can bestow custom enchantments upon their armor. TheFrostcrag Spire player homeis the only other place inOblivion Remasteredwith enchantment tables, but unlocking the enchantment table at Frostcrag Spire costs quite a bit of gold.

For players without access to enchantment tables inOblivion Remastered,Sigil Stonesare the only way to get new enchantments for equipment. Sigil Stones are rewarded forclosing Oblivion Gatesthroughout Cyrodiil. Each of them comes with various magical effects that can be applied to weapons and armor. Farming Oblivion Gates and reloading save files until a Sigil Stone has the Chameleon effect attached is the best way to get them.

How to Brew Chameleon Potions in Oblivion Remastered

Alchemy is another method to attain 100% Chameleon inThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Chameleon potions can be brewed with rare ingredients (typically found within Oblivion Gates).

Bloodgrassis the only Chameleon ingredient available to novice alchemists, butjourneyman and expert-level alchemistscan also use the following ingredients to brew Chameleon potions.

Items marked with an asterisk (*) can only be found in theShivering Islesexpansion. Players should keep in mind that new ingredient properties are unlocked as they level up their alchemy skill, so common ingredients Venison won’t have the Chameleon property until players reach a high enough alchemy level.

How to Create Chameleon Spells in Oblivion Remastered

While players canbuy a version of the Chameleon spellinOblivion Remastered, custom potions can be brewed with even stronger Chameleon effects.

Once a player has reached theexpert tier of Illusion, they can create a100% Chameleon spell that lasts for 15 seconds. Masters of Illusion can create Chameleon spells that have even longer durations as long as they have enough Magicka to cast them. Creating Chameleon spells is a great way to close the gap to 100% Chameleon if players don’t have enough enchanted gear.

Oblivion Remastered Custom Spellmaking

Chameleon is one of the strongest magical effects inThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, so it’s understandable why so many players want to max it out. Certainquest lines like The Dark Brotherhoodbecome much easier when players are completely invisible, too.
