How To Get Akaviri Katana In Oblivion Remastered
Once players have started the Tutorial quest, where they escape the Imperial Prison alongside Emperor Uriel Septim, they will notice that one of the Blades who dies during the first assault of the Mythic Dawn Assassins drops herAkaviri Katana. This will be the first weapon of this type that players can get, but later during the same quest, they will have to return it to Baurus.
So, to get their own Akaviri Katanas, players need to complete a series of quests. After delivering the Amulet of Kings to Jauffre, they need to completeFind the HeirandBreaking the Siege of Kvatch, then, after the Battle for Castle Kvatch, players should be able to return with Martin to Weynon Priory, and get their first horseafter slaying the Mythic Dawninvaders.
Now, players need to accompany Jauffre and Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple, following the marker on the map. Once they have reached this area, theyneed to accept joining The Bladesto receive access to the Barracks of Cloud Ruler Temple and their firstAkaviri Katana.
Inside Cloud Ruler Temple, more precisely in the Western Barracks, players can find another Akaviri Katana over a table. Then, in the Armory (to the eastern side), they can find a couple more of these weapons and a Two-Handed version of the weapon: theAkaviri Dai-Katana.
Needless to say, the Dai-Katana hits harder and has longer reach, but the one-handed blade also has its charm. So players can pick whichever suits their tastes, and use the Altar of Enchantment in the Mages Guild to add special attributes to these weapons.
Now, there’s a much more powerful version of the Akaviri Katana, that also allows players to hitincorporeal enemieslike Wisps, Specters, and Ghosts: theAncient Akaviri Katana. Players will have two chances to get these weapons during the main questline, once they are headed to Sancre Tor an ancient ruin located in the Jerall Mountains during the quest Blood of the Divines. Keep this in mind for when the time comes to replace the Akaviri Katana with a better weapon in the late game.
Still. bot weapons do a splendid job at slicing enemies, more so if players arehighly trained in the use of Blade, since they will be able to cause bleeding as well as penetrate the defenses of armored enemies.
