How to Recruit Followers in Oblivion Remastered
Followers and companions are always tied to specific quest chains, and once those quests have been completed, players can speak to the NPCs listed above to recruit their services. The companions in Oblivion Remastered are a tad basic and can’t do much outside of taking enemy aggression and getting themselves into fights, as they cannot carry gear. Followers cannot level up, nor can they have their armor and weapons changed or repaired, making them a tad useless in the endgame.
How to Get the Adoring Fan Follower in Oblivion Remastered
The Adoring Fan will be the easiest follower to recruit, and he can be claimed once players becomethe Grand Champion of the Arenain the Imperial City. This is only available to those who manage to climb the ranks of each gladiator fight and beat Agronak gro-Malog. After which, the Adoring Fan will wait outside the Arena to sing praises about the new Grand Champion.

How to Get a Mage Apprentice Follower in Oblivion Remastered
Once players have joined the Mages Guild and completed the questline with Confront the King, they can recruit Mage Apprentices found within the Arcane University of the Imperial City, so long as they arethe Arch-Mageand have not beensuspended for stealing or murdering. Mage Apprentices use randomised spells, and are most commonly found in lectures on the grounds of the Arcane University.
How to Get a Knight of the Nine Follower in Oblivion Remastered
Once players complete the Knights of the Nine questline, concluding with Umaril the Unfeathered, players can recruit any Knight of the Nine back at the Priory of the Nine. While there are named knights with more health, they can die, leaving players with generic Knights of the Nine NPC followers that are a bit weaker, but still use the common longsword and shield.

How to Get a Battlehorn Man-At-Arms Follower in Oblivion Remastered
Once players obtain Battlehorn Castle as their home, they will be able to recruit Battlehorn Man-At-Arms as their followers. Battlehorn Castle can be found on the west side of the Black Road, close to Chorrol, and upon clearing the area of bandits, players will be able to speak with the Battlehorn Man-At-Arms to bring him into battle.

Ushnar’s Skinned Hound is a unique follower that can be obtained through the completion of the Ushnar’s Terror quest in the Shivering Isles DLC, which is not available to Khajiit players.
