Before going any further, do note that theHircine’s Shrine quest can only be completed once the player’s level is 17 or higher. you may stillacquire the quest at any level, but progressing through the mission is tied to the character’s level.

The shrine is located south of Imperial City. Head there and talk to the NPC namedVajhirasitting on the chair. When she asks whether you are a hunter or a prey,respond with “Hunter.“This will activate the quest, and your first mission is to deliver either a wolf or a bear pelt.

Wolves are pretty much all over the place inOblivion Remastered. You can find them lurking inThe Great Forestwest of Imperial City or thenorthern, snowy regions.

If you’re looking for a place with plenty of wolves, it’s highly recommended to visit theRed Ruby CaveorFrostfire Cave. They are both pretty close to each other, located southeast of Bruma, as shown on the map.

These caves are full of wolves. Clearing Red Ruby Cave alone can net you over 20 wolf pelts.

How To Get Bear Pelts In Oblivion Remastered

Unlike wolves, bears are rare animals inOblivion Remastered, and it’s quite difficult to find one without spending hours exploring the map. Also, do note that bear variants that drop bear pelts will not appear on the mapuntil you reach Level 7 at least. Below this level, you can only find West Weald Black Bear as well as West Weald Brown Bear, both of which never drop pelts upon death.

One guaranteed place to find a bear is theMuck Valley Cavern, located southwest of Cheydinhal. There is a black bear inside the cavern that will grant the player a bear pelt upon death.

Each one of these stores sells up to 5 bear pelts, andthey restock within 3 in-game days. There are multiple quests inOblivion Remasteredthat will require the player to get 20 bear pelts, and these merchants can get the deal done for you, thoughplenty of Gold coins will be needed, as each pelt costs 58 coins. Still, you can lower the price a little bit byincreasing the merchant’s dispositionand haggling.

After delivering a pelt to the shrine, the player will be tasked withkilling a Unicorn. This is going to be a tough fight, as the Unicorn is quite tanky, and there are Minotaurs around it. So, players will need to come prepared.
