The Pounder is a beast of a Warhammer, which is exclusively enchanted to cause severe maims in the enemies, making them slower and an easier target for a follow-up blow. Warhammers in general pack a punch, and they areamong the best weapons to be enchanted, but this crazy item that used to be only accessible through console commands is now part of the game’s RNG.

So, let’s put this weapon in the hands of the right players. In this guide, they will learn the different methods to get the Pounder, and the nastiest stuff they can do with its broken triple enchantment.

Where To Find The Pounder Warhammer In Oblivion Remastered

As mentioned before,Oblivion Remasteredhas included several new things in the game that were never available to players before, like the Specter Ring orthe Pounder. This Warhammer in particular drops from three different spots in the game, one of which can be easily accessible in thecentral Cyrodiil area.

We are talking about theFingerbowl Cave, located north of the Imperial City. The place is a maze full of dangerous undead enemies, Necromancers, and other nasty stuff like wraiths, ghosts, and headless zombies. But if players manage to navigate it safely, there will be plenty of chances for them to get this incredible weapon.

Start bymaking a quicksaveat the entrance, then roam around openingchestsandcoffinsuntil the weapon appears in theRNG. If things don’t go as expected, players can also reload the game to the quicksave spot and try again. Or, they could go to a different farming spot, like the Robber’s Glenn cave, where there are several chests and few enemies.

The other important place to get The Pounder is from the hands ofMinotaurs, and there are two good spots to face these enemies. Starting at level 15, these creatures will start spawning at places like Fyrelight Cave, or if they are lucky, near the placewhere they can find the Unicorn Mount. The latter is an inefficient way to farm it, andFyrelight Cavewill be much more optimized to get this precious weapon.

How To Use The Pounder In Oblivion Remastered

The Pounder is a ridiculously overpowered Warhammer, that, at a simple glance, looks like a regularDwarven Warhammer(and anObsidian Warhammerin its Higher-tier version). It has a triple enchantment thatDrains Speed,Strength, andcauses Burdenon the opponents.

A hit from this massive weapon will first cause opponents to be stuck in place, since most enemies do not have much of an encumbrance stat, and since most of the bandits and higher-tier enemies like Daedra wear heavy armor, they will soon be encumbered and unable to move. The next big deal is the speed drain and strength drain, which also amplify the crowd control effect, and the enemies’attack speedwill also suffer considerably.

Then, the other broken thing about this is that the three debuff effects canstack indefinitely. That means that if players are smart, and they cast Soul Trap on enemies, they can ‘bonk’ their way out of most combat situations in the game with enemies being unable to respond after two or three blows.

This wickedly broken weapon might not be the most powerful in the game in terms of damage, but managing to get all of these three enchantments in an item is unlikely (and expensive) and will not provide the same results as with this unique weapon.
