Before the world was consumed by Freakers inDays Gone, Deacon received a custom painted fuel tank for his bike as a gift from his wife, Sarah. At the start of the main story, his bike gets busted, and Deacon has to leave it behind to get a replacement fuel pump. However, before he’s able to get it back to bike, it gets picked up by Copeland’s people.
While Deacon can rebuild a bike with improved parts throughout the game, many fans were upset that they were never able to retrieve Sarah’s custom fuel tank during the main story ofDays Gone. InDays Gone Remastered, players can actually get back Sarah’s fuel tank, and this guide shows them how.
How to Get Sarah’s Fuel Tank in Days Gone Remastered
Players will not be able to find Sarah’s fuel tank when progressing throughDays Gone’s main storyline. However, they can get it by playing Horde Assault - a game mode exclusive to the upgraded version ofDays Gone.
Sarah’s fuel tank is the reward for reaching Reputation Phase 1 inDays Gone RemasteredHorde Assault. Retrieving Sarah’s fuel tank in Horde Assault allows gamers to use it as a custom part across all game modes inDays Gone Remastered, including Story Mode. Gamers will also receive the"Sarah’s Gift" trophyonce they unlock it.
How to Reach Reputation Phase 1 in Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault
Even though it’s the first phase, gamers will have to put some time into theHorde Assault game mode inDays Gone Remasteredin order to reach to Reputation Phase 1 and unlock Sarah’s fuel tank.
There are four maps in Horde Assault, but three of them are locked when players first try this game mode. To gain access to the second map, gamers will have to get a high enough score to reach the target score. Then, they must do the same in the second map to unlock the third map and so on.
Crater Lake is the fourth and final region in Horde Assault. During Reputation Phase 0, gamers will have a target score of 800,000 points. If they’re able to reach it, they will increase their reputation and unlock Sarah’s fuel tank. Here is the target score for each map during Reputation Phase 0:
Players should consider using negative injectors to increase the multiplier at the end of the run.
Once players reach Reputation Phase 1, they will have to re-do each map with a higher target score so they can increase their Reputation Phase and unlock more rewards.
