There are many curses to get inSea of Thieves, which are special cosmetic rewards typically gained by completing specific challenges or commendations. From the shiny lure of the Shores of Gold Curse to the Curse of Sunken Sorrow,curses inSea of Thievescan take a long time to obtain as some of the most desirable rewards or unlocks.Sea of ThievesSeason 15 introduces another curse called the Wild Seas Curse, complete with Megalodon or Shark-like skin and glowing green eyes.
If you want your pirate to look just like a creature of the deep, you’ll probably be eager to know how to get the Wild Seas Curse inSea of Thieves, informally known by some players as the ‘Shark Curse.’ However, doing so is not necessarily an easy task with numerous activities to tick off.
How to Get the Wild Seas Curse in Sea of Thieves
All Wild Seas Commendations in Sea of Thieves
To get the Wild Seas Curse inSea of Thieves, you must firstcomplete all Wild Seas commendationsfound via theBilge RatandWild Seas sectionsof yourPirate Log. you may view the Wild Seas Curse and its unlock requirements on page two of the Wild Seas commendations page, as shown above. Altogether, there are 20 Ancient Megalodon commendations plus 9 Hunting Spear, Boar hunting, and miscellaneous ones, bringing the total to29 Wild Seas Commendationsto complete, plus the curse itself (also listed as a commendation), as detailed in the tables below.
Essentially, unlocking the Wild Seas Curse means achieving the’Wildest Seas World-Beater' commendation, which you get for ticking off every Wild Seas commendation. Once unlocked, you can equip the Wild Seas Curse in the usual way from the vanity chest on your ship or at an outpost.
There are 20 commendations related todefeating the Feared RedmawandBarnacled Dread Ancient Megalodons. Ancient Megalodons are bigger, tougher, and more powerful versions of thestandard Megalodons inSea of Thieves, with the added challenge of various unique fire attacks from the Feared Redmaw, plus electric attacks and enemy spawning abilities from the Barnacled Dread. Therefore, it can take time to complete every Ancient Megalodon commendation from the Wild Seas set, with their unlock requirements detailed in the table below:
‘Hunter of the Feared Redmaw’ Title
Complete the ‘Hunter of the Feared Redmaw’ Commendation.
You’re Going to Need a Bigger Bucket!
Attempt to extinguish the Feared Redmaw using a bucket of water.
Extinguish a fire during a Feared Redmaw encounter.
Friendly Fire
Make a Feared Redmaw overheat and explode using fire, such as bythrowing a Firebombat it.
‘Hunter of the Barnacled Dread’ Title
Damage the Barnacled Dread using aTrident of Dark Tides.
On Eel-ectric Tides
Kill Eel-ectric Ocean Crawlers using a Trident of Dark Tides during a Barnacled Dread attack.
Complete all Ancient Megalodon treasure-selling commendations.
Hunting Spear, Boar Hunting, Miscellaneous Wild Sea Commendations in Sea of Thieves

How To Unlock
Sea Beast Spear Hunter
Hit Krakens, Megs, or Ancient Megalodons 15 times using Hunting Spears.
Collect treasure from a Boar’s Wallow.
A Hunter’s Call Celebration
Shoot any three animal-themed fireworks into the skywhile representing the Hunter’s Call as an Emissary. you may find these randomly in barrels in the open world or by purchasing a Heart of Nature Fireworks Crate from the Merchant Alliance for 20,000 Gold.
Complete every Wild Seas commendation.
Wild Seas Curse
Listed as a commendation and unlocked by completing all Wild Seas commendations.
