path to reaching frostcrag spire in the elder scrolls 4 oblivion remastered

Updated June 05, 2025, by Hamza Haq:Frostcrag Spire remains one of the most useful houses players can get in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. This is because of two big reasons. First, it gives players the opportunity to obtain an entire vault of safe storage, and second, it offers players two crafting altars, Altar of Enchanting and Altar of Spellmaking, without having to go through the Mages Guild questline to unlock them. However, players are not handed these two altars for free. Rather, they need to pay a hefty gold price to a certain merchant in order to obtain the materials required to unlock these services in the Frostcrag Spire. The guide has been updated to include how, exactly, you may obtain the Magetallow Candles Box, the item required to unlock the Altar of Enchanting and Spellmaking facilities.

How to Reach Frostcrag Spire in Oblivion Remastered

Frostcrag Spire is located directly east of Bruma, in the northern section of Cyrodiil. It’s located at the very top of Gnoll Mountain, at the edge of the Jerall Mountain Range. There is no paved road heading to Frostcrag Spire, but there is a hidden dirt path to follow if players know where to look. Here is how to climb it.

After you climb the mountain and arrive at Frostcrag Spire, a fast-travel marker will be unlocked, making future visits much, much easier.
