Dagon Shrine is a main story quest inThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, and it features a pretty unique premise, where the player infiltrates one of the most important shrines of the enemy faction, though things don’t end up well for the poor followers of Dagon. The quest itself doesn’t feature any complicated puzzles or navigation, but it does require the player to fight a lot of enemies inside the shrine. Even so, that isn’t the main problem with this quest.

How To Start The Dagon Shrine Quest In Oblivion Remastered
Dagon Shrine isthefourth main story questafter entering the open world area of the game. Players must complete “Find the Heir,” “Weynon Priory,” and “The Path of Dawn” before they get “Dagon Shrine.”
Once the quest is active,a cave north of Cheydinhalwill be marked for the player. Upon entering the cave,someone named Harrowwill ask the player to hand over all their equipment and wear the dedicated robes for the shrine. Remember his face and name, as he is the one you should retrieve your equipment from.
Just a heads-up thatDagon Shrine is an action-heavy quest. So, make sure to visit the location while prepared for a big fight.
After giving your equipment to Harrow, follow him to the shrine and listen to the mentor’s speech. After the mentor’s disappearance, go up on top of the ritual stage and talk to Ruma. This mission will eventually end up in a battle, butyou can lower the number of encounters by obeying Ruma.
The ultimate goal here is to steal the book in front of the ritual stage, but as soon as you pick it up, you will blow your cover.
Ruma will ask you to sacrifice an innocent person. If you don’t accept, everyone in the room will turn rogue and attack you. However, if you listen and kill the hostage,most of the people in the room will gradually leavethe shrine, and eventually, three people will remain in the room. Now, if you steal the book, you only have three people to deal with, which isa lot better than 7 mages.
How To Get Your Equipment Back From Dagon Shrine In Oblivion Remastered
After stealing the book, kill everyone in the room, including Harrow.Don’t forget to loot Harrow, as he carries all your equipment.
If you forgot to loot Harrow, you can still return to the cave and visit the shrine to loot him, as his corpse will not disappear.
How To Complete The Dagon Shrine Quest In Oblivion Remastered
Once you have the book and the equipment,loot Ruma’s body and steal her key. Now, move upstairs andfind the iron gate. Open it with the key and then follow the quest marker to exit the cave. Keep in mind that there will be multiple encounters along the way. Also, there is a tricky handle on the wall somewhere along the path that opens up the exit route.
To wrap up the mission,take the book to Martin, who resides in a castle north of Bruma.
