All Services Available at Camp in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
As you’ve probably noticed by a certain point in the game, there are only a handful of things you can do via your Party menu as you progress through each region of the Continent. Adjustingyour Pictosas they unlock new traits for you, switching out weapons as needed, or viewing your list of discovered Journals or Inventory. Though these may be helpful while on the move, there are more vital services that can only be accessed while at your Camp.
For starters, your Camp allows you to visitthe Curator, whom you “unlock” during your first visit to The Manor in the Flying Waters region. After you successfully defeat him in a battle, he’ll become a permanent fixture at your Camp and help you withupgrading your weaponsand your expedition resources. As you’ll be continuously obtaining more new weapons and theChroma Catalystrequired to upgrade them, you’ll be using his services quite often.
While at Camp, you can also use the nearby gramophone to play anyMusic Recordsthat you’ve unlocked during your travels. If you haven’t found any yet, the gramophone won’t be usable (as seen above).
You can alsointeract with the campfireitself for more options. For instance, you can trigger optional cutscenes with fellow party members by selecting ‘Check up on the others’, and this will unlock the’Curious' achievementfor you. You can only choose this option once per campfire visit. Furthermore, once Verso joins your party later in the story, the option to ‘spend time’ with various party members will start becoming available, and these canhelp strengthen relationships.
There’s also the option to write in Gustave’s journal, and it doesn’t necessarily lead to any achievements or other hidden progression, but still provides an immersive moment for Gustave to reflect on his recent experiences. You can also double-check your current objective by interacting with the campfire. The game isn’t always crystal clear with its geographic or story-related objectives, so this serves as your best hint source.
You can also interact with the Expedition Flag at the camp to use any of the typical options, such as ‘Rest’ or newly earned Attribute Points orSkill Pointswhere needed. Finally, choosing the ‘Sleep’ option at the campfire effectively ends your time at the Camp and sends you back out to your current position in the Overworld.
