There are many gameplay additions toTheElder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remasteredthat weren’t in the original. One of these is theability to sprint, with players finally able to travel faster in Cyrodiil without a horse. Speaking of horses, players are also able to gallop now.

Sprinting inOblivion Remasteredallows players to escape dangerous enemies, kite while using ranged attacks, and run away faster after committing crimes. There are also ways toincrease the movement speedof walking, running, sprinting, and swimming, with these all being tied to theSpeed Attribute.

How To Sprint In Oblivion Remastered

Sprinting is straightforward inOblivion: Remasteredand is unlocked from the start of the game. The following buttons for each platformmust be held, as there isno way to toggle sprinting on.

Thesesame buttonscan also be used togallop on horseback. PC users can also use Caps Lock to toggle walking on and off.

How To Get More Fatigue/Stamina & Regen

To be able to sprint for longer distances before running out of Fatigue, players will want toincrease their maximum Fatigueand its regeneration.

Attribute pointscan be spent upon leveling up.

Be careful not to run out of Fatigue in combat, as a hit will cause you to be knocked down.

Leveling upAthleticsis also great, as at early levels,Fatigue will recover faster while running. Beyond Level 50, sprinting will start using less Fatigue. AtLevel 100 Athletics, sprinting no longer consumes Fatigueat all.

Athletics can be leveled upby running, sprinting, and swimming, with the latter arguably being the best.

The Speed Attribute

TheSpeed Attributedictates thecharacter’s movement speedwhen walking, running, sprinting, and swimming.

Extra points can be allocated to Speed uponleveling up inOblivion Remastered. TheSteed Birthsign also increases Speed by 20, and the Thief increases it by 10, but only one of these can be selected during the tutorial.

Athletics Skill

Beyond improving Fatigue regeneration, theAthletics skill also improves movement speed. Taking aclass that has this as a Major Skillwill start it off athigher levels, and it is improved by running, swimming, and sprinting.

Speed Spells & Potions

Throughout the game, players will find a number ofpotions to temporarily increase their movement speed or restore Fatigue. There are also spells to be learned that have similar effects.
