Increasing the armor skills for either Light or Heavy armor will provide the wielder with a less punishing cuirass and set of metallic defenses that will allow them to conquer against the evils ofOblivion Remastered. It’s always important to know how to wear armor proficiently, which is why the Light/Heavy armorskills become essential to master.
Players can easily rank up Light Armor and rank up Heavy Armor to 100 Skill passively and through AFK methods, providing them with all the XP they need to both level up their character and provide themselves with some highly desired stat benefits inOblivion Remastered.
How to Increase Light and Heavy Armor Skills in Oblivion Remastered
Both Light Armor and Heavy Armor skills will increasebased on the number of times players have been hit. The skills level up on each attack instead of the amount of total damage received, which means there’s a nice exploit waiting for players involving enemies that deal practically no damage against the player’s health and armor.
The easiest way to level up both Light and Heavy Armor skills at the same time, or one at a time, is to head to Arvena Thelas' House in Anvil. Wait until 10 PM anduse lockpicksto break into Arvena’s house. Now,sneak throughthe house and head into the basement, where players will find four non-hostile rats. The objective here is to get the rats hostile and to let them attack you. The best way to turn the rats hostile without killing them with the first attack is to head into the settings and change the difficulty to Master. Unequip your weapon and use your fists to punch each of the 4 rats until they become aggressive, and then immediately change the difficulty to Novice so that they deal as little damage as possible.
The objective is now simple, as players just need to sit in the chair or squeeze into a corner and let each of the 4 rats beat them up for as long as it takes to get to Light Armor 100 or Heavy Armor 100. This can be made even easier by either focusing on one skill by wearing a full set of the chosen armor type, or by using 3 pieces of Light Armor and 2 pieces of Heavy Armor, depending on what players have less skill in. It’s also worth noting that even if your armor breaks, the armor skill will still level up, but this is a good opportunity to level up the Armorer skill by using Repair Hammers.
If players have completed the associated quest with Arvena’s House and no longer have access to the rats, then they can head to the Haunted Mine’s second area to find a rat pen. The Haunted Mine can be found in the far south-east region of Bravil, by the ‘Th’ of ‘The Nibenay Valley’.
