Fighter isone of the many classesinCrystal of Atlan, providing short-range combat experience with martial arts-style techniques. This class is suitable for players who like to stay close and personal to enemies, delivering a flurry of hard-hitting attacks to break down their defense before finishing them with a devastating blow.
After playing as a Fighter for a while, adventurers can then upgrade their character to the next advanced subclasses, choosing between Cloudstrider and Starbreaker. While both Class Branches look pretty similar in terms of techniques, each has its own unique ability to bring a fresh experience for players who want to try different heavy hitter styles inCrystal of Atlan.
How to Play as Fighter in Crystal of Atlan (Class Overview)
Once you start theCrystal of Atlan, you will be given five initial classes to choose from, and Fighter is one of them. You will play in the selected class untilLevel 15, when you need to advance your character to the Class Branch. The following are thecore skills (Active and Finisher)you will unlock as you progress through the story and reach Level 10:
By then, you should havefive empty skill slotsin the configurations, where you’re able to choose the available Active Skills to be inserted (not including the Finisher slot). This is wherecombat customizationcomes in. Each character has various Active Skills you can try, and if it is to your liking, you can insert them into any of the empty skill slots.
As a close combat fighter, you can close the gap between the characters and the enemies withLeopard Pounce, followed by an uppercut to knock them into the air withSoaring Fist.
There will also be an instance where you face multiple enemies, so usingHeavenly Kickis wise, as they can gather enemies in a large area before launching them into the air. Once they are at one spot, the Fighter can unleash a mixture of AoE damage fromCrushing FistandSwallow Step. Then, unleash the Finisher move,Whirlwind of Pain,to continuously attack the surrounding enemies and deal huge Physical damage.
While using the Finisher move, you can still move freely while it is underway to control the direction of the attack.
After reaching Level 15, you will receive a Class Branch Quest fromEllie in Lumiville. Complete the quest, and you will be given an option for the Fighter’s advanced class: Cloudstrider or Starbreaker. You canfreely change between the two classes until you reach Level 45, where you will obtain the Awakening Quest that will lock your advanced class inCrystal of Atlan.
Keep in mind that when you upgrade to either subclass, your Skill Points will be reset, and you need to level up all the Skills again.
How to Play as Cloudstrider in Crystal of Atlan
A fresh set of core skills will be unlocked once you choose the Cloudstrider, and more can be discovered by leveling up. In this Advanced Class, you play as a melee character that often deals AoE damage, with multiple skills that have mobility so you can move around the enemy rather than get close to them.
During battle, you need to manage Cloudstrider’s Qi to enterDharma Nature, each having a different battle style. The first one is theTiger Form, focusing on increasing your damage output with fire-based moves. The second nature isCrane Form, which increases your mobility with water-based moves.
Entering the Dharma Nature will consume your Qi, and it will replenish over time once you exit the form.

How to Play as Starbreaker in Crystal of Atlan
Unlike Cloudstrider, who prefers high mobility to dance around the enemies, Starbreaker prefers to be inside the opponent’s personal space to deal explosive attack damage. Adventurers will rely on herCore Enginemechanic to amplify most of Starbreaker’s abilities (at the cost of Energy Gauge).
Hitting an enemy with any of the Starbreaker’s skills will increase the Core energy based on the number of damage hits. Two hits equal two energy gauges, activating one Core Lamp. Then, the next skill consumes two energy gauges to gain Core Amplification, which may provide increased damage, extra hits, or inflict Armor Break effects, depending on the skill used.
