How to Start the Elderwood Expansion (Elderwood Map Location)
Whether you’re aPaliaveteran or are new to the game,you may start the Elderwood expansion immediatelyby locating and traveling through the entrance on the map that takes you to Elderwood. You can find theentrance to ElderwoodinThe Outskirts,northwest ofBahari Bayatpoint B-2on the map, to thesouthwest of Tamala’s house, as marked on the map pictured above. Here, you’ll find a large doorway with tree roots growing out of it, which acts as agate to Elderwood. Head through it to enter the Elderwood zone after a short loading screen.
If you’re traveling to the Elderwood entrance from Kilima, you could head there on foot or fast-travel to one of Bahari Bay’s fast-travel points to break up the journey once unlocked, with the nearest one to Elderwood beingBahari - The Outskirts.
Although Singularity 6 recommends you complete variousPaliamain story quests to get caught up with some Elderwood systems requiring main story progression, you’re able to still jump into the Elderwood expansion straightaway. You also don’t have to complete all the Night Sky Bundles inPalia’s Night Sky Temple to get started. Therecommended main queststo complete to catch up with the main story are as follows:
If you’ve already done the above quests, you’ll see the Elderwood opening cinematic on loading into the game, which automatically starts the next questline withPalia’s ‘Answering the Call’ quest. After completing this, there’s anothermain story quest from Subiracalled ‘The Elderwood’ that gets you entering and exploring the Elderwood zone to see what Nai’o is doing there.
