Echo Modifiers are special items that players can use to modify the main stats of Echoes inWuthering Waves. Getting an Echo with a mismatched main stat and set effect is one of the most disappointing things that can happen in this game, and Modifiers greatly reduce the influence of RNG when building characters, saving players tons of timeand Waveplates along the way.

Using a Modifier is quite simple, albeit a little confusing at first. With the myriad of menus and buttons that are already inWuthering Waves, players may feel lost in their attempts to use a Modifier. That being said, here’s a quick guide to help out those who aren’t sure where their Modifiers are and what to do with them.

How to Get Modifiers in WuWa

Unlike character upgrade materials, Modifiers technically can’t be earned just by spending Waveplates. Instead, they’re obtained via a number of different sources, including:

Meanwhile, the Oscillated Coral Store sells up to five Modifiers priced at 60 Oscillated Coral each. Keep in mind that Oscillated Coral can only be obtained byspending your Astriteson any of the game’s gacha banners. The store resets every ~40 days.

As for events, it really depends on the event itself. Some may reward more than usual, while others might not give any Modifiers at all. Still, events are always worth doing, so make sure to complete them once they become available for loads of other rewards.

How to Use Modifiers in WuWa

If you already have a bunch of Modifiers in your inventory, you can use them bygoing to the Data Bank from the pause menu. Once you open the Data Bank, you can select any of theunlocked and unleveledEchoes in your Inventory under theData Modify taband change their main stat from there.

The unlocked and unleveled part mentioned above is important. You won’t be able to modify any Echo that you’ve already upgraded, so keep that in mind. If you want to replace a leveled Echo with a Modified one, consider using the former as fodder for leveling up new Echoes instead.

Unless you’re having troublegetting a 4-cost Echowith the right main stat, we strongly recommend saving Modifiers for 3-cost Echoes instead. Getting one with a main Attribute stat that matches their set bonus is usually harder compared to others.
