When the developers originally announced thatInfinity Nikkiwas getting multiplayer content in Version 1.5, fans had no idea what this really meant – while expectations weren’t low, they were certainly measured. At a bare minimum, a new multiplayer zone was teased byInfinity Nikki, but Infold remained tight-lipped about everything else.
Following therecent developer livestream forInfinity Nikki, players have gained a lot more information on how multiplayer will work in Version 1.5. Players will be able to team up with other stylists anywhere in Miraland, but the Sea of Stars will specifically encourage co-op gameplay to solve its puzzles and explore its whimsical landscape. As a zone, it will allow fans to share their color schemes from the upcoming dye system, as well as enjoy the services of the Starlit Shop.
However,Infinity Nikki’s developer has further clarifiedhow co-op multiplayer works. There are two ways to trigger the system: by sending an invitation via the Friend List or by interacting with a Starlit Projection in Miraland. What makesInfinity Nikki’s multiplayer mode stand out is that it allows players to share materials, rewards, and even exploration progress. For the latter, so long as players are holding hands, they can jointly collect Whimstars, Treasure Chests, andDews of Inspiration inInfinity Nikki.
Infinity Nikki: What Players Can Do in Multiplayer Co-op
Holding hands will allow players to get the most out of thenewInfinity Nikkioutfits, as both Snowy Ballad and Crimson Feather have stronger exploration abilities in the co-op mode. For example, holding the hand of a fellow stylist will allow Nikki (and her friend) to float a longer distance when using the Crimson Feather set.
As for other features in co-op, players will be able to invite their guests for a group photo. Using this new feature, each Nikki will be able to pick her own pose in photo mode. Furthermore, players will also be able to chat in the open world, especially in areas such as Serenity Island or the Sea of Stars. While multiplayer is currently restricted to just two players, Infold is already supporting it with a plethora of items and gimmicks, such as a two-seat version of the Whim Pedals. Version 1.5 will launch on June 04, 2025, which will also coincide withInfinity Nikki’s release on Steam.
