ItsCluedo-like premise is simple: players take turns being interrogated as part of a murder investigation and do their best not to break—especially if they happen to be the killer. While one player is in the hot seat, the others vote on how convincing their answers are. The goal is to identify the killer using only the humorous facts players reveal about themselves.
Game director Tim Sniffen confirmed that the goal ofSuspectivesis to fuel personal discovery and keen deduction alike. “On the surface, you’re trying to determine which player is the secret criminal, but at the same time, you’re learning about your friends or co-workers and discovering which boy band they think is the best,” the official said in a prepared statement. Therefore,Suspectivesconceptually fits well withinJackbox’s party game portfolio.
