The original game, as well as the sequel, have been notorious for their lack of difficulty settings upon release, rolling out a Hardcore option later on.Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s new difficulty mode was accompanied by the addition of two new achievements, “Hardcore Henry II,” and “Against All Odds.” The former, worth only ten Gamerscore, is awarded for completing the game on Hardcore mode, while the latter takes it several steps further for 90 Gamerscore, asking players to finish the game on Hardcore with all the game’s negative perks enabled. Unfortunately, Xbox gamers have reported that the achievements were bugged upon completing their rigorous requirements.
Now, it seems both ofKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s previously bugged Hardcore-related achievements have been fixed as part of the latest Brushes with Death DLC patch. According toTrueAchievements, afterKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Patch 1.3hit, the stats for both achievements began updating, showing that players were finally able to unlock them. This appears to have been a quiet fix, as Warhorse didn’t mention the achievement repairs in the patch’s notes.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Hardcore Difficulty Achievements Have Been Fixed
Players who had already completed the requirements for these achievements prior to this latest patch need not worry, as they’ll simply need to load their Hardcore saves back up after installing the patch, and the achievements should pop retroactively. This is great news for players, considering just how long and difficult a featbeatingKingdom Come: Deliverance 2on Hardcore modecan be. Those who’ve been holding out on finishing Hardcore mode for these achievements to be patched up now have the go-ahead to jump back in without worrying about any issues.
Warhorse Studios isn’t slowing down onKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, as, after Brushes with Death, it still has two more story DLCs planned to come this year. Legacy of the Forge is aiming for a Fall release, and Warhorse is hoping to release the third and final planned DLC forKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Mysteria Eccelsia, by the end of 2025. Judging by the 13 new achievements that accompaniedKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Brushes with Death DLC, fans should also expect these two future DLCs to come with their own batches of fresh achievements to unlock.
