WhileKingdom Come: Deliverance 2is already filled with plenty of quests and easter eggs for players to discover, even more content is on the way in the form of DLC expansions. Prior to the game’s launch in February, Warhorse Studios revealed the fullpost-launch roadmap forKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, confirming that three major expansions would be released between Summer and Winter. Numerous free updates are also planned, with new features being integrated into the base game without requiring players to purchase the upcoming DLCs.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s First DLC Will Release in May
Players can already pick upKingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Lion Quest DLCfor some extra content, but for those eager for more, the game’s first major expansion will officially release in May. Developer Warhorse Studios revealed the release window during arecent live stream(thanks,PCGamesN), but did not specify the exact date that it would launch. The good news, however, is that the Brushes with Death DLC will be released alongside patch 1.3, a free content update that will add mounted archery, horse racing minigames, and some new balance adjustments, including a buff to enemies in Kuttenberg.
During the live stream, the developers also showed off the game’s first DLC, Brushes with Death. According to Warhorse Studios, the DLC will introduce a “very important character” who is a painter, with death playing a significant role in this character’s story. Alongside a newquestline forKingdom Come: Deliverance 2players to complete, the DLC will also introduce another new feature: shield painting. The feature will allow players to customize their shields with new styles, patterns, colors, and more.
Unfortunately, it looks like the new shield painting feature will be locked behind the Brushes with Death DLC, as players must interact with Master Voyta to start the new questline and access shield painting. However, Warhorse Studios recently added a highly anticipatedbarber feature toKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which allows players to customize Henry with new hairstyles and beards. Plus, a brand-new hardcore mode with increased difficulty was also recently released for free, upping the ante for players searching for something a little more challenging.
