Speaking during theSuikodenLive Broadcast stream event on Jul 10, 2025, Naito called sales figures for the games “extremely strong,” and expressed hope to share “even more good news” in the future. In fact, the game may even get another bump in sales, asSuikoden HD Remasteris a confirmed launch day titlefor the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 hardware.

Naito wasn’t specific about the actual sales numbers of theSuikoden HD Remasterproject, but Naito confirmed that the release has done well both in Japan and internationally, noting thatSuikodenLive Broadcastevents drew viewers from across the world to hear news about the game. Fans regardSuikoden 2as one ofthe best PS1 narratives of all time, and positive reviews of the game’s enhanced performance and improved localization likely helped fuel the growing enthusiasm.
