Now, it looks like fans are going to have to wait awhile longer forMarvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, as Skydance Games has announced that the game is being delayed until early 2026 at least. According to a new post on the official Skydance Games Twitter account, this delay is meant to give the developers more time to polishMarvel 1943: Rise of Hydraand ensure that players have the best possible experience that lives up to Skydance’s vision for the project. Skydance also says that there are “exciting things” in store and that the development team is looking forward to future announcements.

Insomniac has gained high praise for itsMarvel’s Spider-Manseries, and the PlayStation developer will continue to build its superhero gaming universe withMarvel’s Spider-Man 3andMarvel’s Wolverine. Black Panther will also get a standalone game from EA and Cliffhanger Games, whileDead Spaceremake developer Motive Studios is working on anIron Mangame.

While most of these projects are presumably set in the modern day,Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydrawill instead explore theMarvel version of World War 2, a period largely unexplored in the gaming medium so far.
