Instead, players will be able to earn Chrono Shield Cards through the upcoming Galacta’s Gift event. Furthermore, players can only use Chrono Shield Cards if they’re Gold rank or lower, which will prevent them from being used in higher levels of play. Chrono Shield Cards function similarly to Chrono Shield Tokens, which prevent a player from losing points after being defeated in a Competitive match.
In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games gave players their first look at the new Dangan Ronin skin forThe Punisher inMarvel Rivals. The Dangan Ronin costume is a Japanese-themed outfit designed by the popular artist Peach Momoko, who also helped create skins for Spider-Man, Peni Parker, Loki, and more. The costume gives The Punisher a full ronin makeover, as even his weapon, turret, and ultimate ability have seen visual changes to their design. While the heavy purple armor with gold accents is a new look for the Duelist, he has maintained the signature white skull on his chest.

The Punisher isn’t the only hero getting a new costume, as it was also revealed thatMarvel Rivals' Namor would be receiving his own version of the Retro X-Uniform. The outfit shows Namor donning the classic yellow and blue color scheme of the mutant hero group, though he does have his own spin on it. While a portion of the outfit could be seen as spandex, he also has heavy armor on his forearms and shoulders. Many fans are happy with the look of the costume, as it meshes together a classic look with Namor’s usual armor. While there’s no official word on just how much the skins will cost, they will both make their debut in the shop on May 15 at 7 PM PDT.
NetEase Games also announced that it will bebringing back the Season 0 battle pass inMarvel Rivalsfrom May 15 through May 29. According to the developers, many players were asking for a chance to acquire cosmetics from the hero shooter’s first battle pass, which debuted in December 2024.
