Since Fat Gum needed time to store energy, Red Riot decided to show off his hardening skills by weathering the storm of Rappa’s punches. His defenses were incredible at this moment and gave Fat Gum the opening he needed to unleash all his stored energy in a hellacious beatdown that took out both Hekiji and Rappa in no time.

This humanizes Bakugo to the point where fans start rooting for him as he finally earns their respect. His victory is a celebrated one as Bakugo finally gets to know about the secret of One for All and the true reason why All Might is not at the peak of his powers anymore.
