How Deku Was Weakened In The Last Arc Of MHA
Fans know already thatMy Hero Academia’slast arc was quite controversial. Fans were desperately hoping for Deku to keep his Quirk at the end of the story. However, to beat All For One, it was important for Deku to give his powers up and he did just that. Naturally, a lot of the fans weren’t too happy about the decision. To them, Deku losing his powers meant that his dream was destroyed, but when Deku himself commented on the fact that his dream was already fulfilled fans were somewhat disappointed in the writing.
you may still be a hero! — Deku to the next generation
Needless to say, Deku was very weak at the end ofMy Hero Academia. The power of One For All was gone fully, and he was left quirkless, just as he was at the beginning of the story.
Thankfully, things took a turn for the better when Deku was offered a hero suit that had been worked on for many years, and was developed thanks to fundingfrom Bakugo and all the other Class 1-A Heroes, along with All Might. In the end, finally, Deku got the opportunity to be a Hero once again, and fans truly loved to see him soar through the skies again.

Even after getting his Hero suit,Deku chooses to stay in his role as a teacher at UA, but that doesn’t mean he neglects his duty as a Hero. Deku is active as a Hero as well. In the latestMy Hero Academiafanbook, Horikoshi confirmed that Deku’s new suit helps him fight with great intensity. According to him, this suit mimics the powers of the One For All. Here’s what he had to say:
Question: How does the armor that Deku received from Class A function?
Horikoshi: It tries to mimic various OFA abilities, for example, it has cable extensions that function like his ability Black Whip. It also serves as a prototype where he can try to combine various abilities.
Deku Is The #4 Hero
Furthermore, fans also know that Deku has greatly risen in rank and that he is the current Number #4 hero in Japan. In other words, Deku is strong enough to compete with the top tier Heroes in My Hero Academia. Bakugo holds the #5 position, and these two are fighting neck and neck, which only means that they’re comparable even right now. Deku should be as strong as he was before with his new suit.
