Black Ops 6 Fans Aren’t Happy With New Event Pass
The launch of Season 3 Reloaded willofficially add Seth Rogen toCall of Duty: Black Ops 6andWarzoneas part of the new “High Art” Event Pass. Like previous Event Passes, there will be a free and premium version, with the latter including the Seth Rogen operator and a second skin. However, fans don’t appear to be happy with the theme of the Event Pass, as numerous posts have begun appearing on social media blasting the weed-themed cosmetics. Reddit user12MillionDollarMansays the theme has been “overdone” and is not “cool or edgy anymore,” whileFlyinrhynosaid it is “overplayed” and that they are “not really a fan.”
While there has long been controversy surrounding the unrealistic operator skins inCall of Duty, fans have recently expressed their dissatisfaction with the sharp increase inweed-themed bundles inBlack Ops 6andWarzone. Recent months have seen a massive increase in the number of weed-themed bundles in theCall of Dutystore, with Jay and Silent Bob and Seth Rogen becoming the latest figures known for their love of marijuana to join the game. Many fans have called it “boring” and made it clear they’re tired of seeing the same skin types in the store.
This is also not the first time fans have criticized an Event Pass forCall of Duty. It all started back in January, when theSquid Game x Black Ops 6event came under firefor introducinga Premium Event Pass. WithCall of Dutyalready overrun with microtransactions, such as a Battle Pass, a BlackCell Battle Pass, and plenty of store bundles, fans believed it was excessive to introduce another form of Premium Pass. A later collaboration withTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlessparked even more controversy when fans discovered that it would cost almost $100 to purchase all four Turtle operators and the Premium Event Pass.
