WithStar WarsDay closing in, Aspyr Media has revealedStar Wars: Grand Collection, giving fans nine games from across the franchise’s long history in one bundle. While news on upcoming entries like theKnights of the Old Republicremake and Respawn’s thirdJedigame remains relatively scarce, the collection gives anyone wanting to dive back into a galaxy far, far away plenty of old titles to re-explore in the meantime. That includes some of the most belovedStar Warsclassics to date.
Several game companies are running big promotions ahead of May the 4th this year. The Epic Games Store isholding a massiveStar Warssale, with some titles going for up to 85% off. Aspyr, the company behind several remakes and re-releases of olderStar Warstitles like theBattlefront Classic Collection, has now joined the fun.
Aspyr unveiled theStar Wars: Grand Collectionin a trailer, promising fans nine classicStar Warsgames for the $89.99 bundle, which is available now on Switch, PS4, and PS5. The lineup includes some of theStar Warsgames with the best lightsaber combat, likeThe Force UnleashedandJedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. Perhaps most notably, the collection contains both originalKnights of the Old Republicgames, but there’s a catch there. While the trailer did not make any distinction between the Switch and PlayStation versions, fans have noticed that only the Switch bundle includesKOTORandKOTOR 2.
All Games Included in Star Wars: Grand Collection
The official PlayStation Store listing for theGrand Collectiondoesn’t mention eitherKOTORgame, but the bundle still costs $89.99. However, PlayStation Plus users can get it for $44.99 until June 03, 2025. Anyone missing out on theKOTORseries can also take advantage ofthe SteamStar WarsDay 2025 Sale, which is offering them for $2.49 each. Still, it’s a disappointment for PS5 and PS4 users, especially considering that the collection’s base price is the same on Switch but includes two more games. Those two happen to be some of the most revered in theStar Warslineup, too.
The absence ofKOTORandKOTOR 2on PlayStation isn’t entirely surprising, given that neither game has had a PlayStation release in the past. Regardless, players who own both consoles may be better off getting the Switch version of the collection to get more bang for their buck, unless they also have a PS Plus subscription and can take advantage of that discount. Nintendo has recentlyreleased a hotfix for Switch Version 20.0.0, too, so crashing shouldn’t be an issue anymore, either.
