In this case, Reddit user Algorhythm74 has shared a complaint, and much of the community seems to be in agreement that it should be addressed. They point out that after exploring and completing a dungeon in the game, there’s no indication on theOblivion Remasteredworld mapthat the area has been completed. After discussion with the community, they acknowledge that enemies respawn in the game over time, but maintain that adding some kind of indication on the world map that a dungeon has already been explored, if nothing else, would be a big help.

Oblivion Remastered Players Add Further Completed Requests

Many players are in agreement with Algorhythm74 that this is a feature that needs to be added to the game. Others have taken it a step further, asking that something similar be done with the gates of Oblivion. Considering that the main story quest has the playerclosing the gates of Oblivionin order to protect Cyrodiil, it makes sense to have an indication that the gate has already been taken care of on the map. However, no such thing exists at this time.

Some fans are reportedly having enough of an issue with this that they’re keeping physical notes on where they’ve been and what they’ve already done. Some players have suggested adding a simple marker system to the game’s maps, where players can add an X or check-mark to a location, signifying whether they should explore it later or not. Others, however, have pointed out that at least for dungeons, one can check the local map and see if the fog of war is still present. If the entire area is mapped out, it’s likely the player has already thoroughly cleaned out the area.

WhileOblivion Remastereddoesn’t officially support mods, modders are nonetheless producing them for the game. If Bethesda doesn’t add a feature or a fix for this that satisfies fans, hopefully another player will come out with a mod that can resolve this issue.
