However, inOblivion Remastered, the two sets are completely identical visually.

Numerous users have commented on the post, complaining about other sets of armor that have lost their dark coloring, as well. Fans have pointed to additional pieces, like theDark Brotherhood Shrouded Armorand the Black Finery, which have also seen color shifts that make them look more brown than black. Other players complained about similar issues with some variant weapons now looking identical to others. It’s not clear if this was an intentional choice on Bethesda’s part, or if it was due to a lack of time, an oversight, or even an engine issue, with some players pointing out that black hair seemed to be glitchy for them, either looking off-color or disappearing entirely at times. Top_Debt_4280 themselves voiced hope that the set is a placeholder that will be fixed in time.
