The Siren’s Deception is aside quest inThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remasteredthat takes place in the city of Anvil in western Cyrodiil. A gang of female robbers has gotten into the habit of luring unsuspecting men to the outskirts of town and stealing all of their valuables.
The locals have dubbed this gang ‘The Sirens’ due to their habit of using the promise of ‘a good time’ to entice their victims. The Hero is tasked with investigating this gang and retrieving a valuable ring that was stolen in a recent incident.
How to Start The Siren’s Deception
The Siren’s Deception side quest can be started either by hearing about arumor regarding ‘Gogan’from the Anvil townsfolk or by directly talking toMaelona, Gogan’s wife. Here’s how.
If Gogan’s house is locked, wait till 9 AM and try again.
The Siren’s Deception Quest Walkthrough (Step-by-Step)
After gathering the information from Gogan, the next step is looking for clues regarding the Sirens at The Flowing Bowl Inn.
Before leaving, loot the Siren’s corpses in the area and you will find aGweden Basement KeyandWiltsplinter, a unique dagger. Use the Key on the door near the fireplace on the side of the room to enter the basement. The basement contains some empty beds, a few cupboards, and a store section. In the store, you will find all the items the Sirens stole from the various men living in Anvil. The list of victims includes Pinarus Inventius, Ernest, and Heinrich. On the table is a Flawless Emerald, Gold Nugget, and the Oaken-Hall Family Jewels chest.
Thestolen itemsin the Gweden Basement cannot be returned to the men they were stolen from.
