So, if players are looking for their perfect accessory for their Stealth Archer builds, or they need a little bit of extra help with those pesky ‘item retrieval’ quests, this Ring is definitely what they need. Check out this guide on how to get the Spectre Ring, and prepare to experience the full power of one of the most broken enchanted items inThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
Where To Find The Spectre Ring In Oblivion Remastered
TheSpectre Ringused to be one of the various items that were impossible to get in the (original) version ofTES IVby normal means. Only PC players could access it via Console Commands, by toggling collision off and diving under the floor of theRed Diamond Jewelry shopin theImperial Market district.
Now, in Oblivion Remastered, players can get this ring simply by purchasing it from the owner of the same shop, which appears in his inventory once players have reached a Mercantile skill level of 40 or higher.Increasing Mercantile skill levelsshouldn’t be so hard for players, as they will be receiving experience in this skill every time they sell something.
The problem is the price of the Spectre Ring, which sits around 14000 Gold, and drops slightly while raising the Mercantile level above 75, which is the skill level that Hamlof Red-Tooth (the NPC that sells the ring) has. But once players sell enough looted items that they can getby farming in the various monster dungeonsin Cyrodiil, there will be plenty of budget to splurge on this magnificent piece of jewelry.
The Spectre Ring grants a permanentChameleonspell effect (25), and also a permanentFeatherspell (100),while also fortifying the skillsStealth and Security by 5 points. On the downside, it permanentlydrains Strength by 10andEndurance by 5, which is a nice tradeoff, considering the 100 extra carry capacity will more or less diminish the effect of the Strength reduction, and the permanent Chameleon spell can boost stealth exponentially. Plus, if players are going with a Thief or Stealth Archer build, they don’t need those stats.
