Summary
The world ofOne Pieceis filled with quite a lot of tremendously powerful pirates. While some pirates stay loyal to one crew, others have been seen jumping from one crew to another, serving different captains. There are also others who are mentored by one pirate and later going to start their own crews.
As such, in the world ofOne Piece, there are many pirates who have served multiple crews, and these individuals are, more often than not, quite interesting, with terrific stories to tell and phenomenal strength to back their skill.
10Shiki
Crews Served: Rocks Pirates, Golden Lion Pirates
Shiki is one of the strongest Pirates to have ever lived in the One Piece world. He was even considered to be a rival to the Pirate King, Roger. Shiki was with the Roger Pirates at one point.
After the disappointment of the Rocks, Shiki started his own crew, called the Golden Lion Pirates. He even had the greatest Armada in the Grand Line at one point.
9Buggy
Buggy served as an apprentice on Roger’s ship, which means that he was a full-fledged member of the Roger Pirates. After Roger’s execution, Buggy set out on his own and started the Buggy Pirates. Even though he set a stronghold in the East blue for many years, eventually, he returned to the Grand Line and right now, he is one of the Four Emperors of the Sea.
8Shanks
Shanks is one of the Yonko of the Sea and the captain of the Red Hair Pirates. However, he wasn’t always a member of the Red Hair Pirates. Before creating the Red Hair Pirate Crew, Shanks was actually a member of the Roger Pirates, and Roger’s very own apprentice.
Shanks was believed to be the next Pirate King by many, but it is believed that Roger gave him a more important task.
7Jinbe
The First Son of the Sea, Jinbe is an incredibly powerful pirate who is well respected throughout the New World. Jinbe served as a member of the Sun Pirates under Fisher Tiger. Eventually, he became the captain of the Sun Pirates and allied with Whitebeard.
After the death of the Yonko, he allied with Big Mom, and finally, left behind the Sun Pirates and joined the Straw Hat Pirates.
6Blackbeard
Having been an orphan, Blackbeard was taken in by Whitebeard at a very young age and raised alongside his many other sons. Blackbeard served as a member of the Whitebeard crew for many years, until his plan came to the surface.
Blackbeard then betrayed Whitebeard and started the Blackbeard Pirates, eventually stealing everything from his own father. Right now, he rules the New World as one of the strongest Pirates.
5Kaido
Like many others on this list,Kaido too was a member of the Rocks Piratesat one point. The Rocks Pirates raised him to be a very powerful pirate, and eventually, he got stronger in the New World and created his own crew, called the Beast Pirates.
He turned his eyes to the New World, and set his stronghold in Wano, which he ruled for decades, until Luffy put an end to it.
4Whitebeard
Whitebeard himself is known to be a mighty pirate, and also considered to be the strongest man in the world. As the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, he was feared even among the Yonko and is believed to have been the only pirate strong enough to match Roger in combat. But, before Whitebeard started his own crew, he was also a member of the Rocks Pirate Crew.
3Big Mom
Charlotte Linlin, also known as Big Mom, became a pirate at a very young age and joined up with Rocks. Big Mom was tremendously powerful, and after the fall of Rocks, started her own crew.
Big Mom’s crew is composed of her own family members for the most part, and over the years, she established a very strong grip over multiple territories in the New World, until she was finally defeated by Kid and Law.
2Ace
Luffy’s very own brother, Acehas also served in two different crews. Ace started the Spade Pirates immediately after setting out to the sea. Eventually, however, the Spade Pirates assimilated into the Whitebeard Pirates, which was his second home.
Ace ended up becoming the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard crew, filling up the empty spot left behind by Oden. Eventually, however, Ace fell in the Paramount War.
1Oden
Kozuki Oden, the prodigal son of Wano, became a pirate, given that his lifelong dream was to leave the land of Wano. Oden joined the Whitebeard Pirates immediately after the crew arrived in the land of the Samurai. He served as a member of the Whitebeard Pirates for many years, becoming Newgate’s brother in the process.
But, when Roger came along, Oden requested Whitebeard to be allowed to join Roger’s crew. This became his second pirate crew, after which he returned to Wano because he knew what he wanted to do next. In Wano, Oden had the Nine Red Scabbards, which acted like his own crew. Oden died, but he left behind a legacy like no other.
