Initially, Luffy used Gear 4th, but Kizaru was able to overwhelm him rather easily. Following the drubbing, Luffy unleashed Gear 5th and immediately started attacking Kizaru.
The Admiral was unsettled after witnessing Luffy’s power, yet he refused to give up. Kizaru showcased a new technique in which he produced multiple clones.Each clone was able to move freely,so they could attack Luffy without Kizaru’s orders. The clones could cooperate with the Admiral and help him bypass Luffy’s defenses. As neither side was able to gain the upper hand, Kizaru decided to take a different approach. He used his clones to trick Luffy while he slipped away to find Dr. Vegapunk. Unfortunately for him, the scientist was already on the move.

Kizaru tried attacking Vegapunk, but Luffy got in the way. Episode 1128 showed the final few moments of the fight as Luffy used a new attack called Star Gun to beat Kizaru. However, he didn’t get time to celebrate as Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn had already arrived on the island and transformed into an unknown creature. Immediately upon landfall, he killed a Marine who called him a monster.
One Piece Episode 1129 Release Date
One Piece Episode 1129 will be released on May 30, 2025. Originally, the episode would have aired on June 16, 2025, but the anime went on a break, allowing fans to catch up before Kuma’s flashback officially started. One Piece Episode 1129 is titled “Kuma’s Past - Better Off Dead in This World.” As the title implies, the episode will be focused on Bartholomew Kuma and his past. The official X (formerly Twitter) account even shared a new visual celebrating the start of Kuma’s flashback.
Bartholomew Kuma is one of the mostmysterious characters in One Piece. Even though he was introduced before the timeskip, there is still a lot that fans don’t know about him. For starters, it is unclear why Kuma joined the Revolutionary Army and then left it to become a pirate. There is also little information about why Kuma was called a tyrant. Furthermore, it is unknown why Kuma lost his conscience if he was such an evil person. The answers to these questions and more will be provided in the flashback. There is also a possibility that fans will get to know about other One Piece characters and their involvement in Kuma’s life.
Toei Animation Needs To Be Careful With The Anime Adaptation
Recently, Toei Animation has come under fire from fans about its decisions related to the anime. The studio made a few changes to the episodes, most of which were related to Sanji, and they didn’t go down well with fans. They removed him from certain scenes and added new ones, which affected Sanji’s reputation.
If Toei Animation takesthe same approach to Kuma’s flashback, then it is bound to be criticized. To be clear, it is not that fans don’t want new scenes, but it’s more about which scenes the studio adds to an episode. If they make unnecessary additions, it will ruin Kuma’s flashback. Hopefully, Toei Animation will be more careful and make the right call this time.
