The Roger Pirates were renowned around the world for their might. The crew achieved the unthinkable when they reached Laugh Tale and found theOne Piece. A major reason for the crew’s success was the strong core, and it consisted of Gol D. Roger, Silvers Rayleigh, Kozuki Oden, and Scopper Gaban.
With these fighters on the same side, it was nearly impossible for the enemies to beat them. In the current timeline, only two of the four are alive,namely Gaban and Rayleigh. Gaban’s debut in the Elbaf arc has sparked a lot of debate within the fanbase. Many people are eager to know if Rayleigh is stronger than Scopper Gaban.
The Strength Of Scopper Gaban
The Legendary Pirate Has Only Shown A Glimpse Of His Power
Fans have alreadywitnessed the strength of Silvers Rayleigh inSabaody Archipelago, where the Dark King fought against Admiral Kizaru. Despite being past his prime, Rayleigh was able to hold off Kizaru without any problems. The latter even admitted that he needed more backup to get the job done. Rayleigh can also use all three types of Haki with great proficiency.
Scopper Gaban hasn’t gone all out in a fight, but he has given fans a small demonstration. Gaban’s physical abilities are immense for a man of his age. He was able to lift a key meant for the Giants without any problems. He also destroyed a castle tower effortlessly.
As a non-Devil Fruit fighter, Gaban relies on Haki alone, and so far, he has exhibited great mastery over it. From the looks of it, Gaban seems tospecialize in Observation Haki. He used Observation Haki to sense the presence of the God’s Knights, who were actively trying to suppress their energy. This is one of the best implementations of Observation Haki in the series to date. Gaban also has excellent control over Armament Haki, but whether he possesses Conqueror’s Haki is unknown. Considering how he was known as the left-hand of the Pirate King, it is safe to assume that he does have it.
Gaban and Rayleigh Are Equals
Fans might say that Rayleigh is superior to Gaban because the former was the right-hand man of the Pirate King. However, it is worth remembering that hands are equal. By default, one hand cannot be stronger than the other. So, Rayleigh and Gaban are both equal in terms of strength. The same logic applies to Zoro and Sanji. Fans spend hours debating who is stronger when both of them end up on a similar level. They have been called the ‘Wings of the Pirate King,’ whichimplies that Zoro and Sanji areequal.
Scopper Gaban Will Soon Be Involved In A Major Battle
Things have started to pick up pace in Elbaf. In the last few chapters, the God’s Knights have made headway towards their goal of kidnapping the kids and using them as bargaining chips.The God’s Knights have shown no signof guilt, meaning they have no qualms about killing people.
So far, none of the people in Elbaf have been successful in stopping the warriors heralded as the best by the Celestial Dragons. But it might not be long before one of the denizens of Elbaf puts them in their right place. In the latest chapter, fans learn that Scopper Gaban is on his way to save the kids, and now the question on everyone’s mind is whether he can pull it off.

As previously stated, Scopper Gaban has shown glimpses of his strength, and he seems confident in his ability to deal with the threat of the God’s Knights. The upcoming chapters will provide fans with a better idea of where Scopper Gaban stands in terms of strength.
It is likely that Gaban will also act as the guide for the heroes. With his battle experience, the legendary pirate will manage to figure out a weakness of the God’s Knights. Once he does, the Straw Hats can launch a counterattack against the enemies and save Elbaf from destruction.
