How Did Luffy Meet Boa Hancock?
Luffy was sent toAmazon Lily by Bartholomew Kuma. The latter was trying to save the Straw Hat Pirates from Kizaru, who wanted to capture them. After sending Luffy’s crewmates to other destinations, the Shichibukai used his power to dispatch Luffy to Amazon Lily. Immediately upon his arrival, Luffy was captured, but it didn’t take long for him to break out. Since there were only women on the island, Luffy became the most discussed topic. Marguerite tracked him down, but she didn’t kill him; instead, she decided to help him.
When things went awry, Luffy ran away again. He realized that escaping without a boat was impossible, so he decided to enter the biggest building in hopes of finding someone who could help him. However, he had no ideathat it was Hancock’s residence. When Hancock saw Luffy, she was outraged. The Shichibukai immediately used her Mero Mero no Mi powers, but she was surprised that they didn’t have any effect on him. But Hancock managed to hit Luffy with a Haki-infused attack, which led to his capture.
Boa Hancock Fell In Love With Luffy Because Of His Actions
Following his capture, Luffy was taken to the coliseum to be punished for his crime, but Marguerite intervened before it could begin. She vouched for Luffy. Sweetpea and Aphelandra joined Marguerite and backed her up. However, Hancock had no interest in their reasoning, and she turned all three into stone.
Hancock ordered Luffy’s execution, and it was supposed to be carried out by a panther. But it was no match for Luffy. His victory sent waves throughout the coliseum, but he didn’t stop there.He called out Boa Hancock andsaid she made him sick. Naturally, it did not sit well with Hancock, and she was once again frustrated that he was able to resist her charm.

After beating the panther, Luffy was supposed to fight Boa Marigold and Sandersonia. Since they were Haki users, Luffy had trouble fighting them, and he couldn’t damage them. This would have dampened the spirits of most, but Luffy is different.

His Actions Moved Boa Hancock
When Marigold tried to break Marguerite’s statue, Luffy became bewildered, and he unknowingly used Conqueror’s Haki. He then entered Gear 2 and slowly began overpowering the sisters. Seeing Luffy gaining the upper hand made Hancock furious, and she ordered her sisters to finish him off. Both Sandersonia and Marigold used their strongest abilities, but Luffy diverted their strikes using Gear 2. This caused Sandersonia’s clothes to catch fire. Luffy knew there was a mark on her back that would be exposed.

So, he immediately clung to her back to hide it from the denizens of Amazon Lily. Luffy’s actions moved the three sisters, including Hancock, and it was the beginning of her infatuation with Luffy. Subsequently, Hancock ordered all people to vacate the coliseum, and she presented Luffy with one last test. She told him to choose between saving Marguerite and getting a ship. Hancock firmly believed that Luffy would choose the ship, but he surprised her again by asking the Shichibukai to undo Marguerite and her friends' petrification.
Luffy And Boa Hancock’s Relationship Is Heavily One Sided
Boa Hancock became untrusting of people because of her experiences. She wastaken away by the Celestial Dragons, who exploited her and her sisters. It was only natural for her to hate other people. However, Luffy won her over with his innocence and kindness. He did not care about Hancock’s beauty or her status. He only viewed her as just another person.
With time, Luffy has grown fond of her. He hugs her and is happy to see her. But it doesn’t come from a place of love but rather friendship. On the other hand, Hancock is completely in love with him, and she wants to be with him all the time. Whether Luffy will reciprocate these feelings in the future is uncertain, but fans who want to see them together will hope that Oda shares their vision.
