Summary
Quick Links
One Pieceis currently in the Elbaf arc, where Oda has pitted the Straw Hat Pirates against the Holy Knights of the World Government for the very first time. Right from when they were first introduced, fans knew that the Holy Knights were going to be major players, and they’re certainly proving their worth right now.
That said, the war against the Holy Knights isn’t going to be easy and there will be deaths. In fact, Oda has already hinted at certain characters falling and meeting their end in this battle inOne Piece.
Why Oda Will Kill Characters More Often Now
The Final Saga of One Piece is spectacularly differentfrom the others, and fans have been loving every single second of it. That’s not to say that the other sagas of One Piece haven’t been incredible in their own right. It simply means that this part of the story has everyone on the edge of their seats, especially since Oda himself was itching to draw it all the way back since 1999. Finally, the Holy Knights and the Straw Hat Pirates are coming face-to-face, which means that One Piece’s next few chapters will give the readers some absolutely incredible action.
Given that the war in Elbaf is extremely high-leveland chaotic, characters are bound to fall here, sooner or later. Fans do have reservations when it comes to Oda killing off his characters, but the truth of the matter is that Oda has already killed quite a few characters in Egghead. From Mjosgard to several Vegapunk satellites, all the way to important characters like Saturn, Oda has been relentless with deaths in the Final Saga so far, and that’s precisely why he will likely kill off characters in the Elbaf arc as well.
The Holy Knights' Connection To Imu Will Be Severed
The Holy Knights Will Likely Die In Elbaf
When it comes to One Piece villains, usually, Oda can just have Luffy defeat them, and crush their dreams. Then, they either get arrested by the Navy and thrown in a prison cell, or they figure out something else to do with their lives. But, the Celestial Dragons and the Holy Knights are unique. Unlike the others, they can’t just be thrown in Impel Down, and they certainly can’t live their lives elsewhere. They most certainly can’t be allowed to go back to Marijoa either, which leaves only one way for Oda to deal with them, and that is death. The three Holy Knights that are currently in Elbaf are strong, and there is absolutely no denying that, but they will eventually fall, and when they do, it’ll be a permanent fall, most likely.
Saint Sommers and Saint Killingham will most likely die in Elbaf. This is even more true especially since they’re immortal. If the immortality that they have breaks, they will most likely suffer deadly damage. The only one of the Holy Knights that might survive is Gunko, as it appears that Oda had special plans for her.
Giants Might Also Sustain Losses
While the Holy Knights will most certainly lose their lives in Elbaf, the Giants won’t walk away scratch-free. It is highly likely that someone from theGiants will die as well, and the likeliest candidate for death is none other than Elder Jarul. Since Jorul is already dead, and Jarul has also served his purpose of delivering information, he most likely will face the sword and die by it, elevating Elbaf to new levels.
