Imu’s Two Biggest Powers That Are Confirmed

So far, fans do not know much about Imu at all. After all, Imu was only recently shown inOne Piecefor the first time. That said, Oda has slowly been revealing bits and pieces of information about the monster that is Imu. For instance, fans know that Imu is from the Void Century itself. At the same time, fans also know that Imu is strangely obsessed with Lily, and that they want to get their hands on Vivi now. These are important bits of information.

In the Void Century, there existed a ruler known as Saint Imu Nerona! — Ivankov

The fact that Imu is from the Void Century means that they are practically immortal. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. After all, Imu did speak of Queen Lily, and seems to know her personally. Furthermore, fans also know already that the Elders have been alive for hundreds of years and that they and the Holy Knights are all immortal. For Imu to have Immortality is a given.

As far as Imu’s second power goes,Oda made sure to highlight the factthat Imu has some sort of Zoan Devil Fruit. Given that Luffy is Nika, Imu most likely represents another God and one that will be extremely important in the Final Saga of the story.

Imu’s Weakness Is The New Haki Used By Scopper Gaban

Immortality Can Be Countered Using Haki

InOne Piecechapter 1148,Oda revealed Scopper Gaban taking action against the Holy Knights, and in doing so, he has just revealed the biggest weakness of Imu. The Holy Knights are all immortal, and fans know that already. Furthermore, the Five Elders show the same powers. Clearly, Imu possesses this ability as well and it is part of what makes them invincible. However, Gaban was clearly able to counter the Holy Knights’s Immortality. It isn’t just Gaban, but Joy Boy also counted the immorality of the Five Elders and this caused pain even to Imu.

What? I’m not regenerating? — Sommers

The key weakness of Immortality is Haki. This has now been confirmed by Oda on two occasions. The first was when Joy Boy’s 800-year-old Haki was unleashed by Emeth, and recently, when Gaban coated his weapons in Haki and cut down Sommers.

As to what kind of Haki can do this,it could connect to soul-damaging Hakithat doesn’t do just physical harm but targets the soul itself. It is also possible that letting the Haki linger at the enemy makes them unable to regenerate and gives an opportunity to the others to damage them. It is only a matter of time before Oda exposes the secret behind Imu’s Haki weakness, but the time is here.
