Summary

The Elbaf arc ofOne Piecehas only been getting more exciting with every new chapter. The events revolving around the Holy Knights have been quite captivating and intense, especially with Scopper Gaban finally stepping in. While fans are generally pleased with Oda’s showing in the Elbaf arc so far, the author has just made a huge mistake in the recent chapter, and it has left some fans confused about which interpretation is correct, and which is wrong.

Oda Made A Huge Mistake in the Latest One Piece Chapter

Oda Made Some Errors While Drawing Sommers

One Pieceis a weekly manga with a tight schedule, so it’s no surprise to see that, sometimes, some mistakes happen. Naturally,One Piecefans have been quick to point out most of the major mistakes that Oda has made across the Elbaf arc, most of which are later corrected in the volume versions. The latest mistake has to do with the character ofSaint Sommers, a member of the Holy KnightsinOne Piece.

In this chapter ofOne Piece, Sommers, who can usually regenerate any injury, had his arm permanently chopped off, which shocked him. It was chopped off by none other than Scopper Gaban, Roger’s left hand.

The mistake comes down to which arm was chopped off. There were two panels that showcased this, and each showed a different arm. The first one showcased Sommers losing his left arm, while the next bigger panel showed him losing his right arm.

This mistake doesn’t really affect the story in any way or form, as at the end of the day, which arm Sommers lost doesn’t really matter. This mistake will definitely be fixed when the volume drops, however.

This has left fans wondering - did Sommers lose his right arm or his left arm? It can’t be said for sure which arm Oda intended for him to lose, but more likely than not,Sommers lost his right arm. That’s because the bigger, more detailed panel shows him with his right arm chopped off. The small panel where he lost his left arm will also be a lot easier to correct and change. Editing a larger panel is harder.

Other Mistakes Oda Has Made

The Mistakes Are Plenty, but Rarely Important

One Pieceis such a long series, with such a tight schedule, that it isn’t surprising to learn that Oda has made other mistakes while drawing the series. The vast majority of these mistakes are unimportant, and can only be noticed by people nitpicking every character.

For example, sometimes characters carrying decorative weapons won’t have them in the next panel, as seen withNami and Luffy in the Elbaf arc, where they were carrying a sword and an axe in some panels, but not in others.
