The Elbaf arc might just have proven itself to be the best arc in the post-timeskip, if not the best overall in the story. Along with massive lore implications, one of the craziest powers in the story has been revealed, and it comes directly from the main antagonist of the series Imu. Needless to say, Imu’s power is greater than any fan could have imagined. Oda has huge plans for this arc, and has subsequently introduced a powerthat directly counters Luffy’s Nika powers.
Luffy’s Nika Devil Fruit Is The Most Ridiculous In One Piece
One Piecehas been following the story of Monkey D. Luffy for almost 3 decades now. For the vast majority of the story, Luffy’s Devil Fruit was knownas the Gomu Gomu no Mi, or the Gum-Gum Fruit. For a while that made sense, but fans quickly had some suspicions about this fruit once gears were introduced. Something didn’t seem exactly right, and doubts were finally confirmed during the Wano arc. During that arc, Luffy’s real powers as Sun God Nika were unlocked and the fruit’s real name was revealed - the Hito Hito No Mi, Model: Nika.
The powers of Nika are based on imagination. Anything Luffy imagines he can do can be made real. He also brings laughter and joy wherever he goes, being the Warrior of Liberation. This is a very overpowered ability, and Luffy has yet to fully utilize it. While Luffy’s Devil Fruit was thought of as the most powerful in the series, Oda has just revealed a power that can counter it, and perhaps even surpass it.

Imu’s Powers Are The Opposite Of Luffy’s
One Piecechapter 1150 was definitely one hell of a ride. In this chapter, Imu, the secret sovereign of the world, made their move after taking over the body of Holy Knight Gunko. Imu in her body is probably very nerfed, but despite that, their power is quite insane.
Imu’s powers allow them to accomplish incredible feats, one of which is forcing people into demonic contracts with them. This ability works on even the strongest of people, such as Dorry and Brogy, and lets them build their own slave army. Imu’s powers aren’t entirely clear, but it would seem that Imu and Luffy’s powers aren’t that different from each other.It’s very possible that Imu too can mold anythingthey imagine into reality. While Luffy uses this power to liberate people, Imu uses it to literally enslave them. Imu can conjure magic books to cast spells, and create slave armies. In Imu’s own words, they love to crush rebellion. Luffy is the exact opposite.

Luffy and Imu will definitely come face to face in this arc, and while Imu will be very nerfed due to using a vessel, this battle will still be an intense one. Luffy will have to learn to go beyond his power if he ever wishes to surpass Imu in the Final Saga.
One Piece Chapter 1150 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
