Summary

Eiichiro Oda is indubitably one of the greatest manga authors of all time. His magnum opus,One Piece, is an enthralling story that follows a swashbuckling pirate crew that aims to achieve the unthinkable.

The Straw Hat Pirates are the mainleads of the story, which is why they receive more screen time than the rest. In almost every arc, the crew has to fight powerful enemies. Sometimes, the Straw Hats require new power-ups, and Oda is more than happy to give them that. However, his handling of Nico Robin in the Elbaf arc is questionable.

Nico Robin’s Biggest Fight To Date Was Over In A Flash

The Elbaf arc has put the Straw Hats in the land of giants, where they met many familiar faces. They saw Dorry, Brogy, Hajrudin, Oimo, and Kashi after a long time. While their reunion was certainly heartwarming, nothing came close to Nico Robin’s meeting with Jaguar D. Saul. The latter was presumed dead after the Ohara Incident, but luckily, he managed to survive. Prior to the Buster Call, Saul had helped Robin get mentally stronger. He also reassured her that she would find true friends someday. Saul’s words gave Robin hope, and without them, she might have given up on life altogether.

Saul and Robin’s reunion was going smoothly until the Holy Knights surfaced and began kidnapping the children. Saul saw the children being taken away and tried his best to stop them, but Sommers got in the way. The descendant of the Shepherd family was more than happy to beat up Saul. The former Vice Admiral tried hisbest, but that wasn’t enough. Ultimately, Sommers emerged as the victor.

Sommers catches Robin

While Sommers was busy with the broadcast, Nico Robin decided to launch an attack against him despite Chopper repeatedly asking her not to do so. Robin said that she could no longer keep her emotions in check, which is understandable considering how Sommers injured the man, who was an amazing friend to her.

Oda Gave Nico Robin A New Power

After the Holy Knights showed off their abilities, it was increasingly obvious that it was impossible for Robin to deal damage to them, but that wasn’t enough to deter her.She caught Sommers off guardand used consecutive attacks to throw him off to increase the range, causing the Devil Fruit’s power to fade. However, Sommers was able to use the Iba Iba no Mi to break free.

He also attacked Robin with the thorns, but to his surprise, it was a clone. She had successfully tricked him and used the time to get to her friends. Unfortunately, Sommers was able to get back up easily and trap the real Robin. Things were about to get a lot worse for the Straw Hats if Scopper Gaban had not intervened. After all the buildup, Eiichiro Oda gave Robin just the ability to produce, and it is completely senseless.

Nico Robin Trained With The Revolutionary Army

She Should Have Learned How To Use Haki

During the two-year timeskip, Nico Robinwas with the Revolutionary Army, one of the most powerful organizations in the world. She trained with the top officers, and most of them knew how to use Armament Haki. So, it would make sense that they would attempt to teach her, as it would help her overcome challenging foes. Robin has beaten her opponents with Devil Fruit-based attacks, but the Holy Knights are unlike anything that she has faced.

It was anexcellent opportunity for Oda to showthat Robin could use Haki, as it would allow her to damage Sommers and protect her from harm. It’s absurd that Oda passed up the opportunity and gave Scopper Gaban the chance to shine when he could have sent the Mountain Eater to Gunko’s location. Hopefully, Robin will get another chance in the arc, and maybe the second time, Oda will finally give her the much-needed Haki upgrade.
