Summary

Devil Fruits are easily the most convenient and easy power-up one can get in not onlyOne Piece, but perhaps across all anime. By taking a single bite of these foul-tasting fruits, the user is then given incredible powers that can take the form of Logia, Zoan, or Paramecia abilities. Logias give the user the power to control natural elements, Zoans allow the user to transform into an animal, and Paramecia’s generally cover all abilities that don’t fall into the other categories.

ThroughoutOne Piece, there have been powers belonging to each of these categories that are so strong that the users can take on entire armies by themselves. However, the worst Devil Fruitsin each of these classes are rarely ever spoken about, so in this article, let’s go over the weakest or most useless Logia, Zoan, and Paramecia Type Devil Fruits and see why they are ranked like this.

Numa Numa no Mi

Generally speaking, all Logia types are pretty powerfulsince they give their users the ability to fully manipulate a natural element. Their most useful trait, however, allows their users to become the specific element itself, which makes them impervious to all non-Haki-infused attacks. Caribou’s Swamp-Swamp Fruit is no different, though it greatly lacks from an offensive standpoint compared to its Logia contemporaries.

I’ll make these fools pay!

However, this fruit is not weak by any means and is actually pretty useful. By giving him the ability to manipulate mud and create it to an unprecedented degree, Caribou has near-infinite storage, within which he can keep many things simultaneously, which is kind of like the Dark-Dark Fruit’s ability. However, its lack of offensive might make it the weakest Logia, since other weak ones, such as Karasu’s and Monet’s, still held their own in combat.

Hito Hito no Mi

In the latter part of theOne Piecestory, Zoans eventually became the strongest Devil Fruit class due to the introduction of the Ancient and Mythical sub-categories. In the first half, however, they were notably weak since they merely bestowed the power to transform into another species. This is whereChopper’s Hito Hito no Mi comes in, as it may hold the crown for the worst Devil Fruit in the entireOne Pieceseries, simply because it grants the user the intelligence of a human.

I want to be the sort of man people can rely on!

While this may not seem so bad on the face of it, if a human eats it, literally nothing would change about them, only that they would lose their ability to swim/enter the water. Every amazing feat that Chopper is able to accomplish throughout the story is purely due to his own intellect and capacity for learning, the latter of which was the only benefit that was given to him through the consumption of the Hito Hito no Mi. If a human were to eat it, absolutely nothing about them or their situation would change.

Fuku Fuku no Mi

The Paramecia category is the toughest to judge in terms of the weakest Devil Fruit since it is the most prevalent in the series and has manysituational or outright weak Devil Fruitswithin it. In particular, Streusen’s Cook-Cook Fruit comes to mind, which allows the user to create food from regular objects without even needing to cook it. However, it isn’t the most useless Paramecia since it provides quick and convenient nourishment, even though the food doesn’t taste good, which would be a game-changer for someone like Luffy.

You are the moon unaware of the dawn. May your purpose be fulfilled.

Kin’emon’s Garb-Garb Fruit is still considered weak even when compared to something like that, however. This is because the only thing one can do with this fruit is create clothes out of everyday objects such as leaves and stones, with no other power. This fruit’s powers were used briefly in Dressrosa, when Kin’emon made disguises for the Straw Hats, and it can even make armor, so it’s not like it’s a completely useless fruit. However, Kin’emon was a very powerful character in his own right, and he never used his fruit’s power in any fight.
