This post contains spoilers for One Piece.
Summary
The introduction of the God’s Knights inOne Piecehas changed the perspective of many fans. In the beginning, most fans believed that the World Government did not have enough fighters to compete with pirates and criminals.
In the Egghead arc, fanssaw the might of the Five Elders, all of whom are blessed with ridiculously powerful abilities. Their arrival turned Egghead Island into a graveyard full of bodies. As if the Five Elders weren’t enough to uphold the reputation of the World Government, Eiichiro Oda introduced the God’s Knights in the story.
Who Are The God’s Knights In One Piece?
The God’s Knights are a group of fightersthat serve the Celestial Dragons. They have a higher authority than the Marines in Marijoa, so they can overrule the decisions made by anyone associated with the organization. The God’s Knights seem to be the descendants of the noble families that formed the World Government. So, they hold the same beliefs as other Celestial Dragons. The God’s Knights consider themselves to be above ordinary people, and some even call themselves ‘God.’ They consider other people insects that are completely dispensable. To them, the lives of human beings hold no value.
We are Gods. —Gunko
In addition to their obnoxious ideology, the God’s Knights are extremely strong. Every single member of the God’s Knights has outrageous abilities that allow them to overwhelm the strongest criminals with ease. Additionally, they are also adept at using Haki, which makes them even tougher opponents.
So far, Eiichiro Oda has introduced five members of the God’s Knights. These are:
At the time of his debut, Figarland Garling was the supreme commander of the God’s Knights, but he was promoted and selected to be among the Five Elders after Saturn’s death. This resulted in Figarland Shamrock being handed the leadership of the group. For the uninitiated, Shamrock is the son of Garling and the twin brother of Shanks.
The Power Of The God’s Knights
They Are Armed With Extraordinary Abilities
The God’s Knights are blessed with incredible powers. Each of them seems to possess a powerful Devil Fruit with which they can take down entire armies on their own. Gunko has the Aro Aro no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to create vectorial arrows. With its power, Gunko can bolster the power of her attacks. She can also redirect incoming attacks towards her enemies. Gunko also has the power of regeneration, so she can recover from all kinds of damage.
Killingham is another member of the God’s Knights who was introduced in the Elbaf arc. He ate a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that grants him the ability to put people to sleep and materialize their nightmares. The potential of this Devil Fruit is insane, as evidenced by the destruction caused by Killingham in Elbaf. He materialized the nightmares of the children, and these specters were strong enough to overwhelm the Giants.Shepherd Sommers’s power is just as frightening as the others. His Iba Iba no Mi enables him to create invisible, thornyvines that he can wrap around anything. If an unsuspecting person touches these thorns, they will be put through hellish pain.
Can The God’s Knights Be Beaten?
As a unit, the God’s Knights are almost impossible to beat. Most of them, if not all, are on the same level as Yonko. Fans have alreadyseen the strength of a Yonko, so fighting against three or four of them at the same time is almost an impossible task. The best way to handle these behemoths is to separate them and overcome them one by one. The next few chapters of One Piece will likely give fans a better idea of their strength.
