If you’re looking to set foot in Stadium asOverwatch’siconic edgelord DPS, some of the best possible build combinations have been outlined in the guide below.
Overwatch Stadium: Best Reaper Builds, Explained
In Overwatch Stadium, Reaper builds tend to focus on the likes of buffing damage, putting everything into lifesteal, improving the impact of Death Blossom, or increasing his survivability and self-sustain. With a combination of these abilities and powers, two key builds have been identified as solid starting places for getting the hang of Reaper in Stadium. The first of these builds focuses onReaper being a backline damage machinewith unique survivability buffs and high damage. The other build focuses on his Death Blossom and farming Ult. Charge, enabling you to make big players and wipe multiple enemies to turn a team fight and therefore win these shorter mini-rounds.
Overwatch Stadium: Backline Damage Reaper Build
Backline Damage Reaper Build - Powers
Round 1: Wraith Renewal- While in Wraith Form, restore 10% of your HP every 1s. Double this while below 50% HP.
Round 3:Spirited to Slay -Eliminations reset your cooldowns.
Round 5: Revolving Ruin -Close-range (7m) Hellfire Shotgun hits grant 5% Attack Speed for 1s, stacking up to 8 times.
Round 7: Strangle Step -After using Shadow Step, double your Lifesteal for 3s.
This build focuses on taking key powers to enhanceReaper’s power in the backline. The self-heal on Wraith works perfectly with the Item that enables you to fly whilst in Wraith, granting you great mobility on a self-heal and therefore very strong self-sustain in the backline. Eliminations resetting your cooldowns are pretty self-explanatory - with you pretty much having your self-heal wraith and shadow step back every time to help you continue to clean up the enemy team.
Lastly, you attack speed stacking at close range and Lifesteal off a Shadow Step pretty much enables you to be able to step into the enemy backline, shoot until you kill (or self-heal wraith to keep yourself alive until you can get a kill), rinse, and repeat.
Overwatch Stadium: Death Blossom Reaper Build
Death Blossom Reaper Build - Powers
Round 1: Death Step- After using Shadow Step, cast Death Blossom for 1.5s with 50% reduced damage.
Round 3:Wraith Renewal -While in Wraith Form, restore 10% of your HP every 1s. Double this when below 50% HP.
Round 5: Shrouded Shrapnel -Using Wrath Form increases the number of pellets per shot in your next magazine by 25% and its spread by 50%.
This Reaper build focuses on empoweringReaper’s Death Blossomby giving it to him on his Shadow Step ability, and then drastically pumping both weapon speed and ability damage to make even your mini-Blossoms hit hard and farm easy Ult. charge. you’re able to then use other Items to add more survivability to Reaper on top of his Wraith heal, through the likes of lifesteal and cooldown reduction.
This also means you can cast your Shadow Step/mini-Blossom into the enemy team more frequently, deal a bunch of close-ranged damage through your improved attack speed, Wraith away to self-heal (pair with the Wraith fly item for even more utility), proccing Shrouded Shrapnel for you to then circle back around and initiate your next lot of damage. Then, rinse and repeat!
