Summary

ManyPokemonfans have built custom LEGO models of their favorite creatures, and one in particular has assembled quite an impressive collection. From major franchise icons like Pikachu and the Generation 1 starters to less mainstream Pokemon like Volcarona, the possibilities for creating fan-made LEGO renditions are seemingly as vast as a player’s imagination, and they keep building as each newPokemongame adds even more collectible monsters to the franchise’s already impressive 1,025-monster roster.

While Mega Bloks had its own official line ofPokemon-themed building sets for some time, LEGO models have been limited to those created by fans. This finally changed earlier this year, when LEGO and Nintendo announced they were joining forces once again foran officialPokemonline, with the first products to be released in 2026. So far, only Pikachu is confirmed for a set as part of this latest crossover, though fans are naturally piecing together their own lists of Pokemon they would like to see in LEGO form.

In the meantime,Pokemonplayers will likely continue to make their own LEGO models to show off online, with one shining example being Reddit user hysterical_cub. In a recent post on the r/pokemon subreddit, they shared photos of several custom Pokemon LEGO models that they made, featuring a wide range of creatures fromvariousPokemongame generations.

Pokemon Fan Assembles Impressive Line-Up of LEGO Models

They left it up to other users to figure out which Pokemon they built, with some of the most noteworthy ones being the Kabuto/Kabutops and Paras/Parasect lines fromPokemon Red and Blue, the shapeshifting alien Deoxysthat was introduced in Generation 3, Cranidos and its evolved form Rampardos, and even a few regional variants like Alolan Meowth and Alolan Exeggutor. Some models are bigger and more accurate than others, but fans have given hysterical_cub plenty of praise for their building skills.

As noted before, it will still be a year or so before LEGO launches its officialPokemonmodel line, though plenty of talented fans of both will still happily pick up the slack by building and showing off their own impressive creations. 2026 will also mark the 30th anniversary of thePokemonfranchise, and Nintendo still hasplenty of excitingPokemoncontent plannedfor 2025 and beyond. This includesPokemon Legends: Z-A, an upcoming follow-up to 2022’sPokemon Legends: Arceusthat will launch on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 sometime later this year.
