As for Tyrantrum, the Despot Pokemon is one of the Kalos region’s fossil Pokemon, and a Rock and Dragon dual-type monster. Tyrantrum evolves from Tyrunt starting at level 39 when leveled up during the day. Tyranitar and Tyrantrum are known for their high physical attack and defense stats, making them tough foes to beat.

Although Tyranitar and Tyrantrum are amongthe toughest Rock-type Pokemon individually, one Pokemon fan artist drew a fusion concept of what the two monsters would look like when fused. On the r/pokemon subreddit, a user named Jurroth combined Tyranitar’s bulkier body with some of Tyrantrum’s most distinct features to form their completed fusion concept art. Tyranitar’s blue scales on its chest were kept intact, but its green hide was changed to match Tyrantrum’s red. Tyrantrum’s teeth and beard-like chin were added to Tyranitar’s gaping maw. Both Rock-type Pokemon have the prefix of “Tyran” in their names, and have often been compared to Tyrannosaurus Rex in their names and designs.

Pokemon Fan Artist Fuses Together Tyranitar And Tyrantrum Into A Ferocious Creation

Tyrantrum’s claws, mane, and tail were added to Tyranitar’s body to complete the transformation. The fused rock Pokemon had a roaring pose, with its head turned toward the drawing’s right side and glaring at an unseen target. In response,Pokemonfans used the names “Tyrantar” and “Tyranitrum” as portmanteaus for the fused Tyranitar and Tyrantrum artwork, and complimented Jurroth for their handiwork. WithTyranitar confirmed to appear inPokemon Legends: Z-A, it remains to be seen if Tyrantrum will follow suit.

Fusing two or more Pokemon into a new critter remains a reliable topic forPokemonfan artists to tap into, as critters likeSylveon and Hisuian Zoroark have previously been used as fusion art subjects. Additionally, fan-made romhacks likePokemon Infinite Fusionhave become popular outlets for fans to delve into concepts not heavily featured in officialPokemongame releases.
