A previous global challenge included players completing 40 million raids together, receiving double Stardust as a bonus when capturing Pokemon. More recently, Niantic launched new global challenges for players to complete, earning rewards such as double XP and an encounter with the Gen 9 monster Fidough. This time, the devs will be releasing another global challenge and have given details of whatPokemon GOplayers can expect.
Pokemon GOhas announced a new global challenge that will run from Tuesday, May 20, at 12 am PT to Thursday, May 22, at 12 pm PT. Called “Might and Mastery Finale: Strength in Numbers,” this challenge involvesPokemon GOplayers sending giftsto each other. To help meet the goal, Niantic has increased the limit of gifts players can send daily to 50. When players complete the challenge, they will be able to send their friends free Special Research tickets for the May 2025 Community Day Classic featuring Machop.
Pokemon GO Announces a New Global Challenge
The Special Research tickets for theMay 2025 Community Day Classicwill be available in the in-game shop from Friday, May 23 at 10 am until May 24 at 5 pm local time.Pokemon GOplayers can send up to 20 tickets daily, as long as they have a friendship level of Great Friends or higher with the person who will receive the item. The Special Research will reward trainers who complete their tasks with items such as a Premium Battle Pass, one Rare Candy XL, additional encounters with Machop, and three encounters with Machop that have a Seasonal Special Background.
Pokemon GOplayers can take part in the Community Day Classic featuring Machop on Saturday, May 24, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. During this period,Pokemon GOplayers will encounter Machop more frequently in the wild, and if they evolve it during the event, they’ll get a Machoke that knows the Charged Attack Payback. Like other events of this type, the May Community Day Classic will have bonuses such as triple theStardust obtained by catching Pokemon, and Lure Modules with extended duration.
