On thePokemon TCGsubreddit, user Fragrant_Raccoon_416 pulled two Mew ex cards. Impressed, they shared the image showing the cards side by side and said they were obtained by opening two booster bundles from the Paldean Fates set. This rare print has become popularly known among fans as “Bubble Mew,” as USGMEN’s illustration depicts the shiny form of Kanto’s adorableLegendary Pokemoninside a bubble, surrounded by pocket monsters such as Diglett, Rattata, Bellsprout, Oddish, and Poliwag. One of the most coveted cards in Paldean Fates,according to PokeDATAa grade 10 copy was sold on eBay in 2024 for a whopping $625.

Mew has been featured on 37Pokemoncards since its first appearance in the Wizards Black Star Promos, a set of 53 cards released from 1999 to 2003 by Wizards of the Coast. One of these cards that has become much loved by fans is Mew ex, introduced by expansion 151, which released 207 cards focused on Gen 1 Pokemon in 2023.
